Dan thanks for finding that for me! Dad had the chance to buy the front 1/2 of that truck we just couldn't think of a use for it. I knew the back 1/2 was hanging off a restaurant somewhere in town but wasnt sure where.

Bob if I'm remembering correctly from being offered the front 1/2 it ran and drove too. Dan let me know if you are coming up for dinner

Dang, it's a '53 with good fenders and had a 5 window cab. Well, guess it's better than going to the crusher. At least they know quality trucks.

Tailgate looks in good shape as well

this type of ad is fun to see...we have one a few miles from the house with a Hudson on a post way in the air...then last month going back home to SC the back way the ole junkyard has long been closed and yet the early 50 chevy is till on the post up in the air...its been there 35+ years..I wish I had the foresight to put a bbarrel and pump station under that car..35 years later and its still a steady leak of oil..

I lived in the Detroit area in the late sixties, in the Warren area there was a wrecking yard that had a Cord up on a pole as a sign. Anyone live in that part of the country? How long did that stay up there?
