I am talking about things like brake rebuild kits, rubber weatherstripping, interior stuff, engine rebuild parts, etc. I would really appreciate any good hints. Also, does anyone know 1) how those two bolts that support the gas pedal mount to the cab floor, and 2) since mine are rusted off - where can I find two more? (There is one for B-series trucks 1948-53) You can find reprints of the parts book on eBay almost all the time. Once you look up your part number, you can call Andy Bernbaum, Roberts Motor Parts, or any of the other vendors that are listed right here on this website. Check the LINKS page. Another good resource is www.partsvoice.com. You have to have the part number to search, but a search on Partsvoice.com will often return multiple vendors, and you can price shop from there. I think that the first place to check once you have the Chrysler part number(s) is Napa Online. For mechanical parts (engine, steering, suspension, etc) they will have the cross reference to a modern number an amazing amount of time. Then you can take that modern number down to your "local better auto supply" (the one with the paper catalogs and the old guys behind the counter) and get the part. This does several things: 1. You often save some money. 2. You can often get the part faster. 3. You can check the part in the store before taking it home to assure it is correct. 4. You help keep your local store in business. But there are at least a few people that have used round head screws with a couple of nuts so that the head is up a bit. Once again Tod you cut right through the crap and went straight to the real issue But there are at least a few people that have used round head screws with a couple of nuts so that the head is up a bit. I believe that Don Coatney did that on the car side and he has lots of pictures so there should be one of that. Here you go. Two round head 1/4"X20TPI stove bolts nutted top and bottom. I did try NAPA but they were unhelpful - guess I will go armed with part #s next time:D. I found a few things on Ebay and a great set of wheels from a member here. I have looked around on Robert's website for some things like gas pedal and starter pedal rubber, etc. Not many reference photos on his site and I am paranoid that I'll spend a lot of money on cheap repro junk... I guess hunting the proper part is half the fun. Thanks for the gas pedal bolt suggestion - I will try it out. Among the first things will be repairing the wheel cylinder leaks and the fuel tank. I've actually had pretty good luck with Roberts. But I still check to see if I can get what I need from Bob's Auto Supply on Carroll Street downtown first (my "local better auto supply"). But don't buy rubber parts from him, they are sometimes a little problematic. He has a well-known reputation for bad attitude and lousy customer service, as well.
