Please post pictures. I've been planning to adapt one of their 49-52 car radiators into my 40 plymouth pickup. Cheaper then having one of the ones we have recored.

Dezel, that looks good........couple of questions......what was it originally made for? and did it come with the recess in the top tank for the cap or did you get that done, if so was if for clearance?.........thanks, andyd

Andy, it came just like that. i got it off ebay for 159 bucks brand spankin new! beats the heck out of the 475 i was quoted to recore my old one.

Tim, i hope it cools that good, don't forget i am in the desert. it has been at least 100 everyday for the past few weeks.

yeah..but its a DRY heat...it has been at the threshold and a bit over 100 here in Georgia for a spell also..with the rains that just came through the humidity is a killer..I stepped outside this morning at 7:30 and broke into a sweat just thinking about doing some work outdoors..I did go out and start some acid bathing of the hood...am now drenched...

This is the 2 core, it should cool just fine on this little motor. yep the chain is so you don't loose the cap. i pulled a bone head move when i started putting it all back together, i rough set the valves on the stand and put the motor back in for mock up and forgot about it, now i can't get to it with the split manifold on it.

Clean looking installation of the radiator. Your engine compartment is real clean too. What Carter B&B carbs are you running on your dual setup? Are they matching ? Thanks.

Thanks, they are a matching set of 50 carbs. i even got the stock heater to fit back in it, i wasn't sure it would fit with the dual carbs but i just turned the fuel line over and it fits!

I bought one of the '52 aluminum radiators but it won't fit in my '41.........not even with modification. It's just too wide. I'm going to see if the seller will take it back. I'm going to offer him my old radiator as a pattern to have some new ones made. Do the 46-48's take the same radiator as the 41? What years share the 41 radiator?

Thanks

rockable

If the guy will not take the radiator back, PM me as I would like to buy one for my P18. I am planning on ordering one, but will wait a few days for your response. That way you will not be left hanging.

I recently bought an original used '49-50 radiator for my '51 business coupe and was told by many on the forum here that they don't interchange.

I'd recommend measuring both the '52 radiator and the P18 radiator to be sure.
