Don Coatney Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 There are 9 straps in this picture. Two of these straps are what twenty grand looks like. Two straps would easily fit in your pockets. Chump change for most lottery winners. Nice looking truck. Quote

Flatie46 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Don, do you burn it after you shred it? Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Don, do you burn it after you shred it? The machines I work on shread it and send it down a pipe. Not sure what happens to it after that. I believe burning has been outlawed by the regulatories so most goes to landfill. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 at one time I read that the shreaded money was used by oil drilling rigs as a lubricant/coolant for the bit.. Quote
greg g Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 or does it get recycled? some sold as souveniers on Fed Bank tours? Quote
48Dodger Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 The amber turn signals are on the bumper.....don't think I've notice anyone doin' that before. I'll have to look at my huge stash of truck pictures and see who else has done that. 48D Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 or does it get recycled? some sold as souveniers on Fed Bank tours? Not sold. On the tours of some FRB branches there is a box with free shreaded money pouches available as you leave the bank. These make great gifts (not tips) to the servers at eateries and bars. Quote

I do have a picture or two somewhere in my stash. Quote
48Dodger Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I found a few...but how many are turn signals and how many driving/fog lights? Just curious. 48D Quote

1937 Dodge Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) I have wired my amber fog lights to work as front turn signals. Sure gets folks attention while avoiding adding after market front turn signals to the body. Edited May 24, 2010 by 1937 Dodge Quote

It has a cleaner look than up on the fenders. Am I wrong? 48D Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I just used my parking lights for the turn signals on my truck. I couldn't get the darn arm to work correctly. Quote

Am I wrong?48D Tim, Before you were born, in those days a truck was just a truck. Mine had after market directionals mounted on the fenders, but I guess compared to cutting the running boards off just behind the cab, throwing the rear fenders out, drilling the bed sides to mount two tool boxes with a piece of sheet metal over the top to serve as fenders as well as cutting a chunk of the bed-sides out over the axle because they must have consistently overloaded the truck. Patching the holes in the top of the fenders and making them like and like Reg, the directionals are in the parking lights was the easy part. I couldn't get the darn arm to work correctly. is that arm an actual thing wired into the signal or is it just there to look funny? if not, it would sure be cool to make it point somewhere. Quote
HanksB3B Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 the middle finger could be bent in such a fashion that when people in Los Angeles cut me off I can flip them the bird without being seen by either my wife or other drivers. I suggest you patent it ! Hank Quote
villageidiot Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 I've seen this on the border to Mexico before. Thought Reg was playing Coyote!! Quote
1949dakota Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 where can you get new window rubber+channels+ trim rings and grille? man I love that shiny green! on my front bumper there are 3 "bumper guards" with the center one slotted for a hand crank, on most of the trucks I've seen they left them off or never had them? why? gaudy? 1949dakota Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 has anyone got a picture of what a factory crank looks like? Quote
HanksB3B Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 has anyone got a picture of what a factory crank looks like? They used to call me Cranky Hanky back at the factory , but now that I shaved off my moustache I feel better about myself. Hank P.S. I'd know a factory crank when I'd see one and I think I've seen one somewhere. I have the original tire spoon and lug wrench that must have come with my truck. I'll post if I find the factory crank.
