Flatie46 Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Chrysler New yorker, I think don't know the year though. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) 1946-48 C39 Town & Country conv. - The most expensive & desirable car of this era, beats even Packard convertibles. Edited April 10, 2010 by Uncle-Pekka Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 I was at the swap meet, the Lincoln/Zephry club had a meet o the distant end of the green field..the early to mid 30's Lincolns are flat out georgous cars..there was a tripple blue 33 there that would give a Duesenburg a run for its money on looks and we all know a Dues is hard to beat.. 55 Fargo Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 And to think, I know a Gent nearby, whom I have bought parts for my car. He has 2 T&Cs, 1 47 ragtop with an 8 cyl engine, he bought in 1958, still original with about 50k on it, and a 48 sedan 6 cyl, he restored, he has owned since about 1975. I think his investment has grown a bit over time. His cars are both Catalina Tan, like the one in the video. Quote
RobertKB Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 OK, that does it!! I am going out right now to buy a '46-'48 T&C convertible but only one flaw in the plan................I still have to win the lottery! Damn, those sure are nice cars! Quote
Jim Yergin Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 I may be wrong but I think it is a Ford Sportsman. Jim Yergin Quote
greg g Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 like this one?? The rear fender in the video looks more like chrysler. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 I may be wrong but I think it is a Ford Sportsman.Jim Yergin It's a T&C for sure-though a bit smaller than usual. Quote
RobertKB Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 I may be wrong but I think it is a Ford Sportsman.Jim Yergin Definitely a Chrysler. I looked again and you can see the wrap around trim on the front fender which continues from the grill. On my computer, the car looks a bit foreshortened and if yours is the same, it looks shorter than it really is. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Robert, I bet you are right. It looked too short to me to be a T&C. Jim Yergin Quote
james curl Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) Yes, but compare it to the funny looking Chevy new design pick up in the back ground then go look for Blue Skies new design pick up in a close color match. The whole picture is distorted, and some are taking the picture too seriously. Edited April 10, 2010 by james curl addition Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Here is the full size one with the optional Dalmation accessory as shown in some T&C brochures. Bob Quote
Flatie46 Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 In that picture the wheels don't even look round. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 In that picture the wheels don't even look round. I think it's the camera shot or lens when they shot it or most likely the YouTube upload changed the quality. Quote

Yea, but YouTube shouldn't be shortchanging us on our Mopars. When they cut a Chrysler down to where it's getting confused with a ford they've gone too far. Quote

Don Coatney Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 How does he do that Don? Not sure but my best guess is changing the foot print to distort the size. Such as I just did to this photo. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Cute, Don. Could now be a European mini Plymouth. Yes, that's a Town and Country in the clip - with a wierd size like you said. Quote
