1937 Desoto in Seattle area

I have two wishes:

First that a car like this should pop up in Pennsylvania...second that I could spread fertilizer on my one car garage and help it grow to house three.

I actually passed up even looking at a 47 Chevy over the summer...driveable for $2500...local. No sense in torturing myself, I have one old car...and no room for another....

I am starting to understand why some people have 50 cats...nice cars, in need of good homes...same thing.

I believe those are the original bumpers for that car.

I guess that's the one they copied for those aftermarket

Bris bumpers people now put on rods and kustoms. Ya think????

I briefly had a very rough conditon '37 Desoto parts car that I bought for the overdrive transmission and the two bumpers on it were ribbed just like the one posted so they are factory. Wish I knew what I know now about how much they are worth. I sold the car once I had pulled the tranny out of it. It went to a fellow who was restoring another '37 Desoto sedan.

Wish I had the room and the money! If someone wanted to buy my P-15 and this ’37 was driving and the interior wasn’t a rolling allergy looking for a place to happen then I’d be trying to get that ’37! I adore those hump trunks!

Saw a really nicely ’38 DeSoto at the Pomona Auto Show… the guy was asking $18k and that thing was stock but had two carbs and a split manifold on that ol’ 6… said he got it up to 90mph and could have gone more… yeah, I was drooling… wanted that car! Inside and out it was a stock car but with a few extra balls for good long cruising.

*Sigh* some day.

PS: Don't see any tail lights on that buggy!

Last picture peeking around from the driver's side is a single lamp:)
