pflaming Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I like the pinstriping on the bed sides. Did you notice that he has a luxury ring on the front wheel but not on the rear one. Also this truck has the same wood rack as the $41,000 truck. Nice truck, not sure about the read wheels but that is taste not criticism. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I don't like the tires/wheels, or the chrome bumpers, but the rest of the truck looks nice. I like the pin stripe treatment on the bed. Quote
Jim Shepard Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 This is interesting. This truck has the exact same wood rails as the truck that went for $40,700 in January BJ auction. Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Yeah, the same advertisement on the sideboards. MoPar Parts and Accessories Plymouth . Dodge . DeSoto . Chrysler Quote
Frank Elder Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Musta run out of money before he could get the rear trims, Paul you've been educated too long...no one reads rims,smirk.. Quote
pflaming Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Frankie, I live in California, some don't use TIRES! Quote
Reg Evans Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Hey, you can buy that rear bumper at Sacramento Vintage Ford. It's a repro for 40's to 50's Fords. My brother just sold this 50 Ford F1 groundup restoration for 22K on ebay. I told him he should have taken it to B.J. after seeing the $40,000 Dodge sale. Quote
smallblockjunkie Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 I like the chrome rear bumper, might have to look into getting one for mine Quote
Young Ed Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 A guy on the 39-47 dodge truck group ordered a front bumper for a 48-52 F1 and repro brackets for the rear of a 47-53 chev 1/2 ton. He had to fill in all the mounting holes on the top edges and drill mounting holes in the face. When its done its very close looking to the original rear bumper. If you wanted it chrome you'd have to be a good welder to fill the extra holes. Quote
