  1. Thats how I made my weatherstrip. The round cord comes in many diameters at Joann Fabrics. It's made of cotton and is rather inexpensive. After I made it, i found that JC whitney offered it in colors to match their headliners. So I used the strips I madeas welting on the front seat covers to try to duplicate what was original. Weatherstrip is easy to make if you want to expand you experiences to sewing.
  2. Fun's out there, Joe, hang in there, you'll find it.
  3. Since you just changed your oil pump before this happened, I would look under the cover for grooves worn in it. That would account for the low pressure and the shavings. Also, it's easier than dropping the pan.
  4. What would you be doing if there wasn't something else? At least this makes you happy.
  5. If it's true that you have too much time on your hands, then you are using it very wisely. Personally, I don't think it's possible to have too much time. Maybe Cooper should write a book on his travels. In the first picture, your car looks very sad trapped behind closed gates. The second almost says "Whoopee, free at last". Cooper seems to be saying, "C'mon old man, lets get moving".
  6. I'd like to get the air bag outta my car too,,,,,,,,,,,
  7. The parts book says that number requires two, so they would ahve to be the same length. Sounds like someone was in there making do with what they had.
  8. Sounds like someone needs to adjust their meds.
  9. Yeah, it'll be cheap. Maybe just your first-born. Those door panels just don't look right. Vinyl? Naugahide?
  10. Looks like they are for pulling a pulley off of something like a power steering pump.
  11. What Don Coatney said. No excuses.
  12. Hardware plumbing department.
  13. Yukonjack makes a good point. A nose up trailer doesn't want to go straight.
  14. After much searching, I found four pictures of a slant 6 with an inter-cooled turbo-charger. I would have liked to see it running.
  15. I like you interior very much, and I admit to some degree of jealousy. I have to respect your decision since it is your car and therefore only the correct decision can be made by the owner.
  16. Somewhere in this computer I have pictures taken at a show where a fellow had a slant six with a turbo-charger on it. I asked him what it was from and he told me it was stock on a larger Dodge truck equipped with a /6. He said he had another set-up like it at home.
  17. Thats what I was thinking. Someone used a resistor for something, maybe a blower speed switch, and mounted it there in the air stream to keep it cool.
  18. Be very careful with weight in the tail of the trailer. Too much and you will get some very scary fishtail action when yoiu try to stop quickly. As stated before, tongue weight should be at least 10% of the towed weight. It makes the trailer pull straight. Same effect as putting weight in the nose of a model airplane to make it fly straight. Also the trailer should be level or slightly nose down when you pull it. Having the coupler too high will also contribute to wagging your tail. These things were learned at great expense and peril. As they say, experience keeps a dear school, but a fool will learn in no other.
  19. If the 8 cylinder manifold gaskets are sold like the 6's are, you get both intake and exhaust, because both have to come off together.
  20. And, he could do it all with one paw tied behind his back.
  21. I have coil helper springs on my shocks on a p-15 because one of my springs is broken and I can't seem to get around to fixing it. The helpers do the job perfectly and even raised the rear a couple of inches. I pull a smaller trailer than yours and it makes no difference to the ride height.

  23. Why the heck would you want to whip a buggy? And how far OT can we get?
  24. I have four studs missing on mine and it still runs as good as ever. Not even noisy.
  25. Thanks, I've always wondered about that.
