  1. also try andy bernbaum, Plymouth Doctor and ebay. Ebay is your friend.
  2. Getting closer all the time. Both sides are done just looks the same.
  3. It seems like quite a bit more than a little. I'll live with it until I find one though.
  4. seems to work after lots of adjustment. Can't find the over center spring so either it didn't have one when I bought it or it's in the garage somewhere. I'm pretty careful with my parts so I believe I don't have it. Have to find one as the clutch is pretty stiff without it. Thanks everyone for your help.
  5. Not mine. I just saw it on ebay.
  6. Where can I find an over center clutch spring? Either mine didn't have one or I can't find it. I don't have many parts left at all so if I had it I expect it would be in the parts area.
  7. it's suppose to be drivers side outside rail above or just before the rear axle hump
  8. You're welcome. You tube is very useful.
  9. Anyone ever seen one of these? Described as "an accessory spinner wheel for 40's chevy" . Pretty strange and busy looking.
  10. the problem is it doesn't touch when fully depressed either.
  11. the numbers are suppose to match
  12. mine is on the outside.
  13. I"ve ordered one. But surely there is someone here that can give me a hint as to what's wrong so that I don't have to wait a week to get the manual and then find out that I need to order a part.
  14. frame numbers are stamped not painted. Also should be on the rear wheel arch driver's side.
  15. the throw-out bearing isn't reaching the pp fingers to push on them. the fork hits it's max rearward travel before the TO bearing reaches them.
  16. or do i not have it adjusted correctly and it should be up against those little arms when the pedal is in the out position? The fork seems to be as far back as it should go when the pedal is depressed.
  17. yes when pedal is in the up position the part that is moving is towards the rear. When depressed it moves forward.
  18. pedal comes back up by the return spring. haven't started the car since last fall as I have a small garage and I'm in ALaska. It's cold outside so that I can't open the door.
  19. Was working inside the coupe this morning and pressed the clutch. Went straight to the floor. I am admitting that I know absouletly nothing about clutches/transmissions. Took a short video. Seems to me that the moving part should be pressing on the little arms when the clutch pedal is depressed. Lots of technical terms being used here. Am I correct? If so why would the arms be all the way towards the front of the engine?
  20. Paint isn't as painful and stripping it. lol Looks good.

  22. In Alaska, duct tape, blue tarps and Tyvek seem to be must haves. Duct tape anything that isn't suppose to move, Alaskan's favorite roofing material seems to be blue tarps and their favorite home siding seems to be Tyvek.
  23. mine left no odor from the beginning.
  24. the stuff I used is asphalt based with metal backing. Don't think it's going to absorb any water. It's pretty sticky but if you don't press it down until you have it where you want it, it will come back off.
  25. cut it into pieces and slap it in. on the overhead and vertical I hit it with a heat gun and with gloved hand pressed it on. hasn't come off and I installed it about 9 months ago.
