  1. 2 years ago we had a 1/4 million acre fire 4 miles south of us. Now that was a large one.
  2. We had a lightening strike forest fire start 2 days ago. Still very small, only 300 acres so far. Not near to many houses and going towards unpopulated areas in the wildlife refuge so they will let it burn.
  3. Front and rear views are pretty nice. Side view not so much to my eye. My very first car was a 49 4 door packard. Bought for $20 in 73.
  4. Yep I also have one decent old original in hard condition. The demensions aren't even close.
  5. I was wondering that. I figured on ordering it from Steele later on and replacing it.
  6. If you are going to install new vent window rubber I have bought from Andy Bernbaum and do not recommend their's. The rest of the rubber that I bought was good stuff. The vent window rubber was too short and too thin in the width.
  7. Steering wheel appears to be hydrodipped. Different. Depending upon the outside car color could be nice looking.
  8. It looks like it could be in the utility line easement to me.
  9. I'm not a fan of frenched anything. headlights or taillights.
  10. I don't know about that. If there were truth in advertising I've seen some work come out of a shop or two that didn't look much better. Luckily wasn't my stuff.
  11. Countrytravler those are some mega eyelash extentions. Goes well with the visor.
  12. Glad that they weren't larger. Hope no damage was done.
  13. I live on a large peninsula. If all the junk cars and steel were removed it would raise 2 feet I'm sure.
  14. No this was all of the vehicles that the entire family owned and used from the 50's until the last few years. Alaskan homesteaders never ever threw anything away. You might need it later and in the 50's and 60's things were difficult to get or get up here. Many families drove the same model, make and year of vehicle for years. When one broke down you bought another. Then you had a stash of spare parts.
  15. there were some pickups but I didn't look at them. They want to sell the whole vehicle only. But most have been parted in the past. They had a mid 60's XKE in the garage.
  16. Maybe suppose to look like this?
  17. Most of the cars and there were some interesting ones, were sitting on bare rims on the ground. Moss anywhere from 6 inches to a foot up the sides. I went looking at the 49 Pontiac tin woody. half buried in moss. Most likely swiss cheese.
  18. One of our original homesteaders has passed and her children, (in their 60's), are selling all of the old cars/trucks that the parents collected over the years. Most were pretty bad. Here's a few that I thought worthy of a photo or two. 1. neat cabover. Only badge on it said :"3000" $1250 2. Nash Rambler Super $400 3. 58 Dodge Royal Lancer 2 door HT with Hemi. Intake was missing. $750
  19. Welcome Keith. Very nice looking car.
  20. I like mine so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urXr2J9ZDAk&t=2s
  21. I would think you'd really have to watch your legs when you opened that door.
  22. 48 Desoto 3 window or any woodie.
  23. 1956 Chrysler Plainsman concept car. Has a Pontiac flavor to the front. Not liking it much.
  24. looks good to me. congrats
  25. That's what I told her. You really don't want to hear what she told me.
