  1. Latest on the sills. I have been able to get ahold of Dennis. He is going to send me a 35 page catalog of all of the parts that he reproduces for the 42-48 Dodge, Desoto and Chryslers. He didn't have time to speak about the price of the sills. I'll try him again later.
  2. I've never seen a mopar without the rubber sill mats. But, I haven't seen all that many being in Alaska.
  3. I have the new contact number for the owner of the molds now. For ones that have the metal backing vulcanized on and powdercoated I'd be willing to go to $400 for a set. As it will cost that for the metal and coating to make my own set of backings. I'll contact him but would like to know if anyone else would be interested at that price? Since the mold is just setting there for years now who knows how low he will go? Let me know.
  4. Plymouth Doctor and http://northfieldltd.com/ both sell the rubber only for $350. I can make the metal backings. I'll have to glue it down instead of it being vulcanized but for $125 I belive that I can live with it.
  5. Jeff phoned back and he found a catalog from Dennis, the guy that commissioned the molds and the price was/is $475. i'll have to find another way I believe.
  6. Jeff of Weisbrod Model an Machine phoned me back. He still has the molds. They are for the chrysler but I'm pretty sure that the Dodge would be the same. He asked me to do a tracing of my one good sill rubber and he'd compare it with his mold. The bad news is he thinks that they were charging $450 a set when they were selling them. This does include the metal backing and studs where the ones from Plymouth Doctor and others do not include any metal. He's going to give me a solid price when he compares my tracing to the molds.
  7. the other way around. Some Plymouth bodies were given Dodge trim in Canada.
  8. Called Weisbrod Model and Machine the place that was doing the actual molding. Left a message. We'll see if I get a return call.
  9. the Internet magazine site is active. Will have to find out if the shop that is/was making these is still active.
  10. Yes indeed Jack. He actually has metal where it's suppose to be. Unlike us. lol
  11. I figure if it has lasted this long it was good enough. I put mine back the way it came.
  12. The number that I dug up for the first guy is no longer in service. They guy that actually does the molding didn't answer. Might be closed on weekends. I will try again on monday.
  13. I'll see what their prices are for the rubber/metal sill mats and let anyone interested know. http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/restoration/restoration-tips/do-it-yourself-restoration-reproducing-parts
  14. I've seen videos on youtube that take the bare metal hoop and completly recast it. I would imagine that it would be easier to get a better wheel to restore than bare metal.

  16. is it for a 23" or 25" block? Is it for a MOPAR flat 6? lots of questions. If you can't give any more info we can't tell you if it will fit. Sorry

  18. Looks about the same as my Dodge that I bought 3 years ago in Michigan. Chrysler is a little more desirable than the Dodge. Mine is a 3 window not a 5 window. I paid $2500 for mine. I'd think the Chrysler is worth a little more especially if the engine will turn.
  19. need some photos to tell condition. anything can be brought back with enough money. Sometimes cars look worse than they are. Photos will help us help you.
  20. much easier to work inside without the steering wheel. lol
  21. some more installed today.
  22. No Ethanol in Alaska.
  23. Don mine came with the same pedals as yours. The ones I have now are new from Andy Bernbaum.
