  1. It will not fall apart as the 70 year old original tends to do. I used peel and seal from Lowes to do mine. Did all that the photos show plus the roof for $75. My original firewall pad was in good shape so I put it back in place on top of the p&s so that it looks original but still has more sound and heat proofing.
  2. can't see the photo at all. keeps asking me what program I want to open it with. Has an extension that I can't find a program to open it with.
  3. forgot to say that I mounted the kit on a 47 dodge. Must be the same instructions for 46-48 as well.
  4. I found my parts list for the front scarebird disc brake kit. Can't remember who was wanting a copy but here it is.
  5. Yes it's tough enough if you get good stuff.
  6. Thanks. It's been a long time coming. Almost done now. Just need to find the money for the tires, door sills and radio upgrade.
  7. unless they were different in Oz a 47 is a D-24. Photos are needed for inquiring minds.
  8. hydrographic dipped and then coated with auto clear coat.
  9. there's a reason that you have never heard of a flathead V6
  10. got the rollup windows working okay. Passenger side still isn't great. Some photos. Garnish molding, one of the mascot and one of the trunk cards that I got installed.
  11. tbag i put in electric wipers from a 48 chrysler.
  12. Moose, from this site made them for me. They do clear the stock fuel pump but just barely. If you ask him to make you a set I'd ask to have more clearance built in. I misspoke above and said cooling but meant heating. It basicly prevents icing of the carb/carbs.
  13. this is the same one as mine. clearly see the expansion plugs in the bottom.
  14. sorry not cooled but heated. mine is mounted and i had the expansion plug holes welded up as everyone said that they leak.
  15. look on the bottom. if it's water cooled it will have two freeze plugs there.
  16. Mine is water heated.
  17. Looks pretty solid. Good luck with it.
  18. I trial fit my garnish molding and vent windows in my doors yesterday. Neither is working very well. When completely in the down position and begin the rollup the front catchs on the bottom of the vent window. After prying it so that it clears it winds up well until the last 1/2". Then the back of the window is lower than the front. Both sides. Could the new fuzzies and welting be hindering free rise?
  19. okay. Have to retract my recomendation of Andy's for vent rubber. Until I tried to install the garnish molding in the door they looked okay. But, they seem to be short at each end both top and bottom and the bottom isn't wide enough. Going to contact them and see what they say but there was a card in the bag with them that said allowances had to be made because these are so complicated.
  20. The one in the link with the pistol
  21. We used to ride old car hoods pulled behind a truck or car.
