  1. Recent purchase of a cowl vent housing under resto . My D24 came with the passenger heater only and several years ago I found a NOS driver side heater. This should tie the two together nicely when I'm done. Currently blasting and painting. Found a rubber bellows in Hersey a few weeks ago. Interesting 1940's TECH , The screen to filter out the bugs was lined with horse hair !
  2. My trip to the Hersey swap meet last week was fruitful. I found a good amount of NOS tune up parts much cheaper than Ebay. Most vendors there don't have their parts well organized ( to say the least). Digging through dusty boxes of Auto-lite, Mopar, Echlin , Filko, etc I have a keen appreciation for the various Auto parts catalogues I purchased ( cheap ) on CD from our fellow member here Rich Hartung / desoto1939. Having the correct part numbers with me was great. I've had several occasions on Ebay as well were a seller had no idea what application a part was for but it was in my catalogue. Some have photos and cross reference to other models. Very good stuff. If you are shopping and rebuilding, give Rich a call.
  3. Rich, sorry to miss you there. It was a great show. Weather perfect. Found lots of nos, mopar, and auto-lite tune up items. Very cheap. Few other cool items too. No Miller tools unfortunately.
  4. Thanks Walt, Makes sense . That 7 Pass is a BIG beast. Now I see that # in my Dodge parts book. Didn't come up on line using the MyMopar search. So 12" brakes on the D-24 7 Pass AND some of the large Chryslers 46-48 too, New Yorker etc. I wonder how many 7 Pass are still non the road. Thanks again !
  5. Good morning all, Does someone here have a parts book that covers C-39 Chrysler ( 46-48 ) ? I picked several parts for my D24, and the lot came with Two - 12" rear brake support plates marked " C-39 / 1118109 " I want to verify what I have inherited here. Thank you Clay
  6. The shorter input shaft and correct retainer are available on ebay as a pair. Fyi
  7. Yes Flatie46 , that one has the number cast on to the top. 1559209. Weird one. This lot had several I want. These not at all. free to anyone that needs them just PM me.
  8. Odd bits for sure. I have no use for these and hate to junk NOS stuff when someone may need. Guess I'll hang on to them.
  9. Only one with a part # , but I can't find it in any of my mopar books .
  10. Hello all, These came with a lot of Misc. NOS part I purchased. Part #'s on old packs were unreadable. If any of these are familiar to someone please give me some guidance. Thank you Clay
  11. Not sure if these help. I'm looking for more. I've done all of the same work as you can see. NOS inner fenders, and shields.
  12. Take your time. I acomplished all of these jobs on my D24. Rear springs easier than front. Front-end work was aided by borrowed Miller Tools from Rich Hartung another member of this site. Good luck Post Pix.
  13. This guy just helped me out. Excellent experience with this vendor. http://www.tomrish.com/ TOM LAMANO DISTRIBUTOR REBUILDING 590 ABBOTTSTOWN PIKE, ABBOTTSTOWN, PA 17301 717-353-3964 OR CELL 631-258-9355
  14. Just got home from Spring Carlisle. Bought not one item. Nice day though, lots of walking. Dan's Old Parts had the most old stuff but small percent was mopar.
  15. Rhode island Wiring folks are great.
  16. Does the D24 3 speed transmission have a name/model number ? Searching here i see many assigned to various models but not D24. Thank you Clay
  17. Speaking of Miller Tools. This one came in handy on my distributor rebuild. Old Bushings pressed out. New Bushings pressed in. Burnishing tool was well worn, needed to ream to correct size.
  18. Good going Rich ! Since you loaned me some of your Miller collection last year I have been bit by this "bug". Your fault LOL ! I've acquired several, including most of the Fluid Drive tools. They have come in handy as you know. As well as the catalogs. Clay
  19. Brass water line over a basement sink. Window nearby helps after painting! Can't wait till warmer weather and garage work again.
  20. These coat hangers have come in handy painting so many parts. Especially with Por-15. Simple.
  21. C, There is a larger, twisted type bracket attached to the drivers idea frame above rear wheel. That one holds the flex hose that come off the tee on the axel. How about a fuel or oil flex line? I not that far yet but soon. Never had a project without extra pieces!
