File Name: Inner Fender to Frame Seal Template File Submitter: Conn47D24 File Submitted: 25 Feb 2016 File Category: Instructions, Manuals & Templates This template can be used to trace and cut out the masticated rubber seals between the Front, INNER fenders, and the frame. They are stapled on to each inner fenders ( driver and passenger ). I was lucky to purchase both inner fenders NOS with the original rubber seals attached. I am sharing them here for your use. I have benefited from help here on other templates so I am paying it forward. Instructions: Purchase a sheet / roll of masticated rubber. 1/8 " thick min. ( like tire rubber with poly cord imbedded ) Print the templates on LEGAL size paper ( 8.5 " X 14 ") Match the two pages where shown and tape the sheets together. Cut out the template Trace on to the rubber sheet ( bright color pen / marker ) Cut out the rubber seal. I used heavy gauge stainless steel wire to make the " staples " and wired the seals to the inner fenders. Note: my D24 is a Club Coupe, I believe the front fenders are the same on other Models and maybe Chysler's other lines. Good Luck ! Clay Janer Conn47D24 Click here to download this file

Please check out the Resource Section, Downloads, Templates. I have shared the template for making Rubber Seals between the Front Inner fenders, and the frame. These seals were dry rotted on my D24 Club Coupe. I was lucky to finder both inner fenders NOS with the original rubber seals attached. This site has helped me much, and I have used several templates on the resouce page, so I am happy to share these with you all. They should work on all Dodge 46-48, maybe earlier too ??? Perhaps other Chrysler lines of the era as well ??? Good luck ! Clay Janer Conn47D24

Thanks guys, Rich not sure if welded. I'll attempt to press out the lug studs as Merle mentioned. If so I may have a great deal on two nis drums. I will report back. Thanks!

Hello all, re: my 47 Dodge Club Coupe. The attached photos are of my brake drums, front and rear. Close up, side view of the " flange " on top of each. Question, are these separate flanges, or part of the drum ( cast or welded ) ? Reason being I have an opportunity for a pair of NOS that look like the attached Illustration. No Flange. Can I remove my flange and install it on this type of drum ?

Welcome, and good luck. Nice photos, looks like solid body and frame. Lots of help here so dig deep when in need.

PA, my machine shop was all set to re-sleave the p20 block, so I bought new STANDARD pistons from egge. Suppose we can do the same on the D24 block?

My 47 D24 club coupe has had a 1950 p20 engine in it since mid 70s. Crate engine install by previous owner. JUST as I've gather new and NOS parts for the rebuild, I found a D24 Engine near by. Bought it for $200. Tear down starts next week ( soaking in PB blaster this weekend.) I'm psyched that I'll have the correct engine finally ! Concern / question is will all of the parts I've purchased fit? Valves, springs, pistons, gasket set, bearings? ? Also, what if the crank or cam in the D24 plant are bad. Will the p20 parts criss over? Connecting rods are different (218 vs 230 ) right?? Will this be a simple as a block & head swap ??? Ha ha ha Thanks for and help. Clay

Home made radiator frame seals. Old seals at the top of the radiator were dried out, stif, and painted over. I fabricated new ones with masticated rubber and stainless steel wire made " staples ". Couldn't find NOS or replacements so this worked out best. Purchased a sheet of the rubber, and will use it again to fabricate the rubber seals at the inner front fenders. Hope to get templates for these appliactions up on the resourse section here soon. Clay 1947 D24 Club Coupe

While compiling a list of engine parts I see in the parts book there are 3 types of springs. Standard, heavy and light. What circumstances would require light or heavy ? Old engine, new, altitude, heat or cold extremes ??
