  1. And mine pulling my bike 6 volt car, 12v trailer lights. No 12v Battery. Ask me for details if any interest.
  2. This weekend went to the 5th Rømø Motor Festival here in Denmark. Cool weekender with period correct cars, bikes, music and the famous beach race. Only MoPar participant was a 32 Plymouth. It had no problem beating many Ford V8s. There are strict rules for participating in this race. Cars must be Pre-war cars, coupe, roadsters or specials. Appearance, main parts and performance parts must not be newer than 1947. Clothing needs to be period correct. Not getting into the race itself, shot some photos of MoPars at beach. Participants were from all over Europe except England due to ................... More info and lots of video on YT. https://www.romomotorfestival.dk
  3. @wagoneer Personally I don't listen to FM stations so no need for resistor plugs. Booklet fails to mention spark width. Resistor plug spark is more concentrated (narrow band) and is perfect for the later rounded combustion chamber of the OHV models where plug is pointed towards intake valve flow unlike side valves where it was placed somewhere where there was room. Anyway my engine has complete ridiculous combustion chamber design and intake and exhaust flow is obstructed so many times, that a fat and wide spark is needed to burn it. Even so most side valve engines have a poor burn and most gas escape unburned. Not efficient burn is the word I'm looking for. No to mention coil needs to work harder to compensate for extra spark. Anyway we all have choices so each to his own
  4. Resistor plug became standard for all makes due to more FM radio stations popping up around the world. Resistor plugs do nothing good for our engines. On the contrary, concentrated spark is more suited for high compression engines. Hence the name, resistor. resists spark and i.a. weaker. That's why gap increased.
  5. Been using 295 .025 for over 10 years with no issues. Sooty is usually rich mixture. Also too many cold start. Oil deposit is another story. Try advancing your timing with a vacuum gauge to get better burn.
  6. Maybe not. Haven't noticed on mine. My original oil bath filter don't care
  7. Wouldn't be better to address this problem? Carbs shouldn't backfire.
  8. In our country we call these bastards From Webster Dictionary Definition of bastard 2: of mixed or ill-conceived origin 3: of abnormal shape or irregular size 4: of a kind similar to but inferior to or less typical than some standard 5: lacking genuineness or authority
  9. Here's a tip for faster search only on this website use "site". Let's say you want search fluid drive. Go to google and type fluid drive site:https://p15-d24.com You now see all topics with fluid drive for this site
  10. 1941 Chrysler Club Coupe. Mostly as 6 cyl but also offered with 8 cyl. Hood looks rather long, but ID plate in engine bay will tell more. The marbleized plastic was offered in five colors: Neutral Onyx, Green Onyx, Blue Onyx, Highlander Red and Highlander Green. In addition it was offered in solid colors: maroon, green, blue. All these could be mixed. Combined with colored or French Walnut Burl and Walton Burl was usually used on the Crown Imperial Upholstery choice of 13 different colors. Mine is solid tan basic color and tan broad cloth. Original Arizona customer opted instead for accessories, clock, radio, 15" rim, Fluid Drive. locking gas cap, etc.
  11. Here in Denmark, we're getting more and more of these fashionable battery operated vehicles. They are too quiet. Suddenly they appear and drive fast past you. I think that's dangerous. Especially residential areas. I prefer to be alerted by an engine's increasing sound coming towards you.
  12. Don't know what muffler in my Chrysler, but it's so quiet that I can sneak up behind people at rallies.
  13. I'm trying to understand you. So basically what your are saying is if we don't set #1 at 7 o'clock, then it's not possible to set timing, dwell and have a vacuum ?
  14. I have to admit I don't know what position my rotor is when firing. I don't care either. My concern was installing ignition wirings so they look neat, same distance, same bend and curve going to cap. Uninsulated plug terminal pointing same direction etc. No...it's not a disorder, I just like to see nice wirings.
