  1. Nice to see you working hard on the truck PF. Think it'll be ready for the Tailgate this spring? If not give me a call, I'm come up and give you hand! 48D
  2. Find a good machine shop so they can help follow the numbers..ie bore size, tolerence, spring pressure, ..etc. You can still put it all together, it'll just be a better starting point. JMHO 48D
  3. That's funny, I wouldn't have noticed your son if you didn't mention it like you did. Guess I had my truck goggles on! 48D
  4. I was thinking the same time as last year...2nd half of April (I think the heat was a little unusally last time). It'd be awesome if you made it out Don. That's goes for anyone who wants to make a road trip out this way. Plenty of camping/RV space. 48D
  5. Hey Reg, I got a crappy old grille bar that might be a saved by a licenced Grillebarologist...but I can't make any promises. It'll hold you over til the perfect one shows up on ebay. I'll put it in the mail for you ASAP. No charge. Its the least I could do, you gave me hub caps. 48D
  6. I want to thank everybody who helped with the last BBq...it was awesome. I got behind in a lot work at home and the shop, but finally got caught up. so sorry for the delay in reporting on my take of the event. I believe I learned a few things about doing a deal like this and actually felt right away that "I'm doing this again!" the truck count was good, the people better, and the weather hotter than usual that time of year. Members definatley made the effort to be there, coming from Nevada, the Bay area, Lake Co., and the Valley. Not to mention San Jose, Santa Rosa, and Gold Country. I think I could have done better in the entertainment part of the get together, and also should have planned a ceremony of sorts. I believe inviting Fords and Chevys trucks to the next meet would add to the day, not letting folks forget its a classic tailgate bbq put on by the dodge guys. Bob Koch and his lovely wife did an outstanding job of helping things along. I've had a few visiters to my ranch since the event, Dave and Terre (they put on the Fullerton bbq), Claude Church and his son Joe, and Rawge. I love visitors. Everyone I've talked to wants to have another go around and so do I. So the first plan of action is to make it clear to the club....They will be a 2nd BBQ in Clements! PLease list any critisim or praise so I can make a list to work from. I'd like to hear from everyone and anyone in the club...including Don Coatney. So again, sorry I took so long to post, and thanks again to everyone who helped. 48D
  7. .......and me. But, for a dollar, I won't tell. I say rebuild the 230. You have two complete engines right? Rebuild the 218 at a later date. As long as the "numbers matching" parts are under the same roof, its still the real deal. Maybe it'll save a few headaches. Let me know If I can help. 48D
  8. Ok..am I blind? where is the skull located at? The glove box? 48D
  9. Sweeeeet! I like the interior. Nice Work Job~Rated. 48D
  10. Looks sweet Merle! I'll look forward to seeing you at the "2nd annual Clements Tailgate BBq" 48D
  11. You were on my call list Bob....Duncan Mills, site 17,....fri sat sun......whoohoo no smoke! 48D
  12. Visablity is down to 600 ft at my house. Its like fog. I read there are 842 seperate fires, and Calif, has been importing firefigthers from all over the U.S. Can't hardly breathe out here, so I'm heading the coast for the weekend. 48D:(
  13. Thanks for those pictures Tony! Don't think I've ever seen good photos of a stripped down ute cab before. Very cool. 48D
  14. From what I can tell, you put the plug in, set the adapter over it, then put the ball end of the drive shaft in the adapter and use an air hammer to git the plug in...I guess. Haven't got it yet and never seen one either. I would think you could skip the drive shaft if you have the engine out. seems the drive shaft is bent so you can use the swivel and socket to get around the tough spots when its in the car. Maybe its just for cup plugs? 48D:confused:
  15. You got me thinking Tim. I've always used a socket and ball pean hammer for my freeze plugs. So I went looking for the right tool. I found this and bought one. Guess you hook it up to your air hammer (hand held). 48D http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Freeze-Plug-Removal-Installer-Kit-Professional-tool_W0QQitemZ380010170382QQcmdZViewItem

  17. lol. I won't be offended. But I don't know about the rest of these hard core metal master gear heads! Better bring doggie snacks to calm 'em down.lol 48D
  18. Hey Don Jordon, If you want to, show up Saturday and stay the night. I think Reg is bringing his motorhome and a few others are staying in the area the night before. Just let me know, I have plenty of room for a bunch of motorhomes. So don't be shy. BBQ Information page http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/clements/index.html Don C, I can't wait to see what pictures you got in store...... 48D
  19. Thanks for the hard work Gerald, its a great place to hang out! 48D
  20. Since it would be great if everyone could make it out to the BBQ in Clements, I know its not possible. So I would like to offer a "Greetings From" board to be posted at the event. Send me a link or a file of a photo you'd like to use, and what you'd like to say. I'll print the picture and caption you want. I don't mind if its a picture of your truck, car, or favorite dog..doesn't matter...I'll post it along with your forum "handle". Feel free to be creative, even smack talk a west coast rival, just don't scare the kids! 48D blackcoyoteranch@yahoo.com

  23. Wish you could make it too Don. Sorry I missed you last time you were out this way, but I realize you were in high demand:D . And again, sorry the flyer is not in bigger print, my scanner skills aren't very good. 48D
  24. What a shame if they really do crush what they don't sell. Hope someone buys them out, or something. 48D
  25. I know a lot of us go back and forth between the car and truck site, but some may not. So I wanted to offically invite all the cars guys to the the Clements Tailgate get together! Click "vist DPETCA" on the links up above, to find more infromation. Its April 27th, its at my place, its in California, and it'll be fun. I'll make sure all future threads show up on both forums.
