  1. SA-WEET!!!!!!! Thx Reg! 48D
  2. Cool, Thanks Reg. I'll give you a call and get "the rest of the story"...... 48D
  3. Sorry, just had to brag a little. My 16 y/o son has been making big strides lately in my shop. As most of you know I restore muscle cars on the side as well as race Street Stocks (1972 Charger). Zac has learned a ton this year. He's been using the plasma cutter, practicing on the Tig welder at home as well as taking welding classes in High School. We've been working on his 1972 Roadrunner in between working on my 1950 Pilothouse. He's spent a lot of after school hours on that truck. He really loves doing it all. After school yesterday, he got to "shoot paint" for the first time. And of course it was on his favorite car. Papa couldn't have been prouder. lol. He's a 3.8 student, polite, wants to join the Air Force to be an Aeronautical Engineer, and hopes to meet a F-22 up close. Out of all the cars and trucks I've done, I consider him, my biggest contirbution to the world of Hot Rods. 48D
  4. Another good place to get answers is Don Bunn's book. Hopefully you can find it cheap somewhere...91 bucks on Amazon seems expensive. 48D http://www.amazon.com/Dodge-Trucks-Restorers-Collectors-Reference/dp/1583880879/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1234340083&sr=1-5
  5. 1st draft....any comments? 48D
  6. Hmmmm.....looks good to me for a parts truck. What's the asking price? Does the external fuel pump option come with it? 48D
  7. Man, I knew you were messing with me. Just wanted to hear you fess up. lol. So, since their the same, can I use a passenger side Plymouth door on the driver side of my Dodge? Thanks for taking my call, I'll take my answer off the air. lol 48D
  8. Come on....how different are they really? I'm a 48-53 dodge guy, so I might believe anything. Or are you so Plymofied, that you can stand to see it on a Dodge? lol. 48-53D
  9. Well yeah.....if it's a spare and you're not planning on using it. Wonder what Fedex would charge? Tell you what, If you bring it by, I promise to join the POC and cast my vote for "Young Ed"! 48D
  10. In the back of my mind I keep thinking of Ed's plymouth and I keep screwing up the make......it is a Dodge! Geez, Ed. Already in the yahoo club...haven't heard from anyone local yet. Thx. 48D
  11. Looking for a driver side door for my 47 DODGE truck. Its far from a "driver" as you can see, just need to see two dang doors on it. lol. Hope to find one local.....but you never know what deals can be struck ~48D (Thx for shipping yours to England Reg! )
  12. 1950 B-1-B Pilothouse. 48D
  13. Glad to have you here! You'll like this site, and you'll get a bunch of advice on which way to go with your truck. There's a few daily drivers that are in the works right now with reccent posts as well as some creative projects with nice fabrications. I would reccommend two right now; pflaming and buds truck . Go to thier profile page and click "find all threads started by.." and enjoy the progress of thier trucks. Otherwise use the "search button to find threads that are more to your need. The "visit DPETCA" page(link is top of this page) has a button labeled "pilot's knowledge" in the lower left corner. You'll find a bunch a good stuff there too. Great looking truck Bobaloo. 48D
  14. I guess the rear looks to rounded for my eyes....so the front may have been straighten up by the cut behind lic? Maybe the same would be considered for the back, doing like what Bud said. Thx for letting me add my 2 cents. ~48D
  15. The front bumper seems more flat, with 90 degree turns at the fenders. The rear bumper is rounded without 90's. For some reason my eye wants to see them switched...or....a bumper like the front, on the back. JMHO. Great looking Fargo! 48D
  16. Two reasons for my interest in the book. I have a need to buy up just about any manual with the word Dodge, Plymouth, or Chysler. I also buy manuals that hold my interst like Camaro, Corvette, Mustang, Harley Davidson...etc. I think of it as my own "old skool" internet. I can see why I dont have this one. The other reason is for info on the Volare front end swap. That's how I found out about the "Tex" book. Just researching available info on the subject. I've read the Knowledge section on the subject many times. Thanks for everyone's input. I'll take you up on your offer Olddaddy. Thanks again everyone. ~48D:cool:
  17. Unless he's incredible smart and found the perfect decoy/deturant for "tailgaters"...... ~48D
  18. lol...nice Ed. Mankind will reach the tranquil point of nirvana...and farts will still be funny. Or as my Dad would say "wonder wot wood happin if every kid in the world pulled thier dads finger at the same time?" ~48D
  19. Hey all, I'm tryin to find a copy of this book to either borrow or buy. Haven't checked the library yet. I had no idea this dang book was so expensive! I'm not made of money, but I'll pay a reasonable price for a used one. If I can borrow someone's, I'll pay all the shipping bills (has to be cheaper than 150 bucks!) Thanks for any help in advance. 20. Hey Man, Always good to know a new member is close by. I'm out in Clements, north east of Stockton. I'm mostly a on the truck side, but we're all in it together. We have a get together at my ranch on April 25th, its put on by the Pilothouse guys, but everybodys invited. Watch for the new posts. I race a 1972 Charger Street Stock....once in a blue moon at Altamont, but mostly at Stockton 99 Speedway. Can't wait for the reopening of the track this o9' season. 48D
  21. Heck yea, Don. If you make it to the BBq, 4/25/2009 in Clements,Ca., I'll let you race it around the 1/8 mile track in the back yard (lord knows I do!).
  22. http://automotivemileposts.com/autobrevity/suicidedoors.html Style baby, Style! Also when you run out of gas running from the cops, you can jump out and run pretty good. 48D
  23. Bud....your truck is kicking ass. 48D
  24. I agree with Bud. You guys on the car side are scary. I'm always nervous when I post on "the other side"...especially with "young Eddie" and "the Don" looking over my shoulder. I'm just a simple Big Valley Redneck, trying to get along in my 50' B-1 without tickiing off the P-24 and D-15 guys. Im mean, its just good fun right? We let you hang with Reg. Really, he's a truck guy, but in good faith, we let him get a car. I say, let the "New Post" button be put in Bold type and in the Middle, so we can finally put this behind us. 48D
  25. I like using my paintball mask because the antifog lens WORKS! The photo makes the len fogged, it isn't. I can blast for periods of about 10mins, then the intensity tappers off. So to save my equipment, I go 5-10, then quit for 5.
