  1. I fully agree with Plymouthy, it's not difficult work but it can be hard work. I've changed two cars, both with Old Daddy's kit.
  2. Very, very nice. What was the source for those seats?
  3. My Father's Day card from my granddaughter. Priceless!!
  4. I wasn't aware of the long time use of this devise. . So when was the choke " button " eliminated? My apologies for my lack of knowledge.
  5. Yes, but did it work?
  6. That's neat, and close to me too. I just added it to my places to go. TKS
  7. A niece of my wife posted this on Facebook. The truck was at a demolition yard, but was not to be destroyed, rather is used daily.
  8. I have two of these, not using either one. Just how effective is the device? Was it more for marketing purposes than for an improvement for cold weather starting?
  9. It's only "called" a race as I understand it. I've been to owls head twice. It's a bit over rated yet nice. Be a good place to look AT the cars, many of which are truly vintage. We fly tomorrow, getting anxious. Only London is more interesting to me.
  10. Probably a vegetarian selling flowers and grass!
  11. I have concluded it is not an easy match, so I let it go.
  12. Nice check list. I will check each one out.
  13. I have spoken for a Nash threespeed transmission with a r10 G overdrive. It appears it will fit a MOPAR. Or remove the r10 and put it with a MOPAR. Anyone have a comment on this?
  14. Great pictures, it seems the roads look better through the windshield of a old car. I really like driving mine. Thanks for sharing.
  15. I'm going to attend one of their stops, and see them pull in or pull out.
  16. We will be in Bath Maine from June 20 through July 6. I would like to take a circuitous day or two day drive N and W and have coffee wth as many members as reasonable. Maybe a lunch with a few, etc. paul
  17. "A practicing Doctor"?
  18. I have an electric fuel pump. I will never return to a mechanical one. I also have the oil pressure safety cut off.
  19. AND check the mount at the top of the post. Everything must be firm. .
  20. I wonder if USA mfgrs went studs because of ease of changing tires? Consumer driven, GM and Ford drove the market. USA drives more miles, thus more flat tires on the road.
  21. Check where the shift yoke lifts the collar. I adjusted, etc, etc, with no results. Then I discovered that over the years a build up of HARD grease/dirt in that collar so that that lift yoke would slip off and not lift. Once that was clean, adjustment was NOT critical. In short, CLEAN EVERYTHIG !! Good luck.
  22. This VW came with the stash. It is complete, the engine, transaxle, front suspension all still in the car. I have all four fenders, both hoods, rear seats with good original covers, and all the glass.
  23. I was wondering about the case that is fully disassembled.
  24. JB, I'm very envious, I desperately need to do that. Great job and great example.
  25. Today I put aired up tires on my VW pan so I could tow and move it. It, like my Plymouth has the bolt attaching method not studs and nuts. Is there an engineering advantage for such?
