Maybe you are trying to use the wrong year of speedo in your truck. The one on the left is black faced and for the years 48-50 and the one on the right is for 51-53 and has a gray face.

Hi Eric, Yes,as I stated it's a 230 and it is an M23 engine from a truck.

Does anyone here want a stuck 59 Dodge 230 for free? The cylinder walls are very,very rusty but the bottom end is not. Maybe someone would want to turn their 218 into a 230 with the crank and rods. I just hate to throw it away. It is missing the exhaust manifold and the carb base is broken. It's an all or nothing offer for free or ....I'll sell and ship some of the parts separately.

Al, Did you know you posted this question on the truck side? You might get more experienced responses on the car side about the car heater. Is that the stock heater for the car? Is the Fenton manifold heated by water or by the exhaust manifold or not at all? -
