  1. Thanks Pete ! I'll try the old sandpaper trick I guess.
  2. That'll be great Don. I've been trying to save this in case you're able to make it up this way. I did have to sample it though a few times to make sure it's OK. Those are strawberries. NICK NICK !!!!! CAUTION.....KEEP AWAY FROM OPEN FLAME !!!!!
  3. James, Here's a photo of a 48 DeSoto vert with the back up light. Wish it was of better quality.
  4. Thanks Pete. Did you have your shoes arced to conform to your drums. I sent my old shoes out for relining. While installing my relined shoes i noticed my gauge would not touch the shoe all the way around the shoe. Only in the center of the shoe. Like the diameter was wrong. This is what must be going wrong with my adjustment. Also on this 40 Plym the rear shoes on each axle had lining material on only about 2/3's of the way for each rear shoe. When they came back they had relined the whole shoe. Sorry to have hijacked your thread.
  5. Glad you're making good progress Pete. Looks like you'll make it to Tulsa! I have a question for you regarding the Ammco 1750 and my 40 Plym. My instructions said to measure the brake drum and then say the gauge read .30. The instructions said to set the gauge half way between .30 and 0. I set my gauge at .15 and adjusted the shoes accordingly. I did this with each shoe but now I have a very mushy pedal. Is that how you did yours? Thanks, Reg
  6. Well, I guess her new husband would be considered a pimp cause he made a Hoar out of her.
  7. Yes, it looks like he added some let in lights. Maybe the kind I've seen on the back of flat bed trucks. They are installed in a hole and the lens is flat with the bed frame so they are less likely to get damaged if you back into a loading dock.
  8. My ex wife had a couple of uncles with the last name of Balls. Harry and Richard or Dick for short. Bet they dreaded those first days at school when they had to stand up and state their names.
  9. Congrats to David and Tod !! Wish I could have made it.
  10. Did ya hear about the guy who used too much shoe polish on his shoes and rectum?
  11. Dave, Did you get my email address this morning for the photos? Reg regoevans@sbcglobal.net
  12. Shell Bizzy 48 said , "Just think of the improved gas mileage that you will get with those magnets:D" I say, I know,I know !!!!!! And my ball joints feel better already too !!!!!
  13. Norm, I put the small magnet in the dirty float bowl and it picked up most of the crud in the bottom.
  14. I bought this 38 Dodge business coupe last Jan for $6600. It has a freshly rebuilt 52 230 engine and is a good driver but it needs new upholstery, paint, some glass, brake work, electrical and tires. The body is in excellent shape though. I think I stole it.
  15. I have always used what ever the latest product was on the store shelf. No problems in years. Just don't drink it !!!!
  16. I still have fine rust powder coming from my tank on the P10 even after dropping it and cleaning it out at home. Shoulda lined it I guess. For now I put a large speaker magnet by the drain hole on the tank bottom in hopes that it will catch all the tiny rust particles. After a couple of weeks like this I'm gonna remove the drain plug and then the magnet to see if a bunch of fine rust drains out. I also put a small refrigerator magnet in the glass float bowl at the carb to catch what ever gets by the tank magnet. Think it'll work????? Oh....I also have 2 clear fuel filters in the lineup.
  17. Don't forget the silver circle in the middle.
  18. Very cute family Grandpa Don. You got alot to be proud of !!!! Family....that's what it's all about.
  19. Tim, Would you please come over here and fix all my malfunctioning gas gauges. I'm gettin kinda tired of all the unexpected journeys on foot.
  20. I got some for my 2 door from this guy. He also sells the 4 dr. set on the Bay . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Door-sill-mats-1942-1946-1947-1948-Plymouth-4-dr-sedan_W0QQitemZ230127610265QQihZ013QQcategoryZ34204QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  21. $450 would be a steal out here on the left coast. What shape are the grill bars in? If good, you should be guilt ridden.
  22. I'm running windows XP and Internet Explorer. None of those problems here however a few months ago all the forum messages started landing in my bulk mail file. Probably something I did while doing a spyware scan. I can't seem to undo it.
  23. Jim, Is the horn more than a wimper if the truck is running at maybe 1000 rpm. My 35 Dodge does that. It won't honk unless the engine is running at a moderate rpm. I just purchased a relay for the 35 to see if that would cure the problem. You are right though. I've never seen a horn relay on a B series truck unless it had the dual horns.
  24. Mine in my 40 Plym is doing the same thing. It's a 2 wire unit so I tried switching the wires around. Same f-in thing.
  25. I'd grab my cell phone and my insurance agents phone number and quickly up the stated value of the cars I left behind. Oh....I'd grab my wife and the 3 mini weiner dogs too.
