  1. Good luck to ya Pete ! It's gonna be a great and memorable trip for you and your son.
  2. Yeah. I clicked on the "ask seller a question" button and it jumps to a place to send them your eBay id and email address. Yeah....right.

  4. It sure is ! I'm going to get a quote from them for my 38 bizzy coupe. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Nope....I tried and tried and just can't see any car
  6. Well said Greg !!!
  7. In 51 a 4 speed synchro was offered for the first time in the pickups. I hace one in my 52 and another in my garage. You can tell if the trans is synchro by looking at the drain plug. If it is parallel with the floor it is synchro. If the plug angles down it isn't. This was discussed here about a week ago.
  8. Hey...thanks for the commercial Chuck. The patterns include the kick panels, door panels, back of cab and headliner panels. The cost is $40 including printing and S.& H. PayPal is an easy option for payment.
  9. I have heard of people making them out of spring steel used to wrap loads of lumber. Either a bolt or a rivet would work.
  10. Thanks Bob...anybody else
  11. Does anybody know what this clock is for, other than keeping time? BWAH HA HA HA!
  12. Speaking of "JOB RATED" the original owners must have specified that they wanted Ole Yeller to be able to haul most of another truck in the bed. All the sheet metal parts and the seat ,except the cab,of another 52 fit in the bed. These were given to me by a guy that took his all apart and then lost interest.
  13. Hey !!! was that truck "JOB RATED" for that job?
  14. Tony, I just measured the tire again. The tread that meets the road is 8" wide and the tire does measure 30" in diameter without any weight on it. The sidewall measurement looks to be the 9.5" The max tire rating is 1990lbs at 50 psi and I don't notice any difference is steering from my previous radials with 40 psi in them. With the 6 ply the truck doesn't wallow around as much. I'm sold !
  15. Really !!! How cool is that?
  16. Just last week I put a set of 6 ply radials on on my 1/2 ton with 15" rims. They are 6 ply FEDERAL mud and snows 30x9 50R15 and have a rolling diameter of ~29". I got them at Less Schwab for a little over $100 each. A much better ride than my 235 15's 4 ply's. They were too squishy side to side. Now I can't wait to get my 1.5" wheel spacers on and paint the rims black.

  18. These are the ones I bought. Billet aluminum. I think they are OK. eBay #330122490132. I'm going to install them today.
  19. I like the type that mount on the side of the cowl and they are period correct I think. Why do you want to hide yours?
  20. Actually it's the other way around. Parallel to floor is synchro. Angled down is crash box.
  21. Uh Oh....the spacers I bought have a sticker on them that says "Made in China" Are these what you're referring to as the cheaper stuff?
  22. I had one where the ports between the head and block were clogged. I rodded them out and all was cool.
  23. I just measured my spare runnning board for the 48-52 108" wheelbase trucks. It is 63 3/4" long. In 53 ,because of the bigger rear fender the running boards were shorter. Temporarily you might have an easier time finding some good 48-52 rear fenders. Then you could use your longer boards from BeBops. Here's an idea for stiffining up the glass boards. Laminate some 3/4 plywood on the entire underside of the r boards with fiberglass. Then you'll have somewhere to install mounting bolts and the boards will be strong enough to stand on.
  24. Great find Dave ! Welcome aboard. Much better sheet metal on this latest find.
  25. In my opinion the bed has perfect proportions.
