  1. I found a couple of openers like this one in my glove box...guess I know what they were used for now.
  2. 100%....Woot, Woot....
  3. That about sums up my comments....
  4. Not only is that truck super cool...that trailer rocks as well!!
  5. Happy new year all!! My new years resolution is to have ol' Fernando moving under his own power before 2012!
  6. Very slick, I like that idea!! As for pressure going to the drums, you can always plumb in a couple adjustable brake pressure valves so you can fine tune your braking.
  7. I just removed the trim from the old disintegrating door panels from the 48 D25 parts car, not sure if they are the same? But anyway here's what these ones look like. They were stapled onto the panels. The fabric is actually pinched under the small piece stainless piece, and looks to be very difficult to free up. You can cut the fabric and then pry the staples loose, but re-installing with new fabric is going to be tricky.
  8. That's a nice looking car...I'd drive that in a heart beat!!
  9. Nice job!! As they say...Necessity is the mother of invention.
  10. If your not concerned about the old lock then I'd suggest taking a drill bit and drilling out the center of the lock. Then that little pin should drop down out of the way, once the guts have been removed.
  11. I really like the car, but not for the price he's asking. Maybe $6-8K I'd bite.
  12. Welcome!! Sounds like a very cool project...and thank you for ditching the SBC and putting the flatty in!! I think much the same way, no problem with modified, but keep them brand true. I'll second the pics....Please!!
  13. It would have to be ported. If it was manifold vacuum then the vacuum advance would be on FULL all the time. I made this mistake with my 440 when I was swapping around carbs. Took me a while to figure out why the motor was running so hot and over heating.
  14. Very cool read...are these the same ones offered on E-bay I wonder?
  15. Hey isn't that one of those fancy engine covers.... Wife got me one of these cool prints off e-bay..after some not so subtle hints....
  16. I always start my auction cheap, and get what I get for them. I once listed a splash shield, rubber mat, for the front of a 69 300...ended up getting $150 for it!! I would have been happy with $10....
  17. Sounds similar to the old V-gate 4speed shifters we used to run in our muscle cars. Straight back and forth. It had the shifter, then a metal T-handle as well. Hold the T-handle up and shift straight back from first to second, release t-handle and forward to third, then straight back to fourth. Reverse was a second lever off to the side. Worked like great!!
  18. Not a bad deal if your not concerned about it looking 100% original. I'd use one of those in a heart beat if I needed one. Little black paint and no one would be the wiser.
  19. I got a rad from the 48 Canadian dodge I just picked up. Looks decent, no rot that I can see. Fins all in good shape. Will clean it and flush it out and see if I can find any leaks. If interested drop me a PM. Shipping from Canada to the USA might be a bit stiff...probably $75-100?
  20. Rick Sent me a pic of his motor so I could post it up for him. Here it is.
  21. Well I ended up buying the car today. I'm making a listing in the classifieds if anyone is interested in anything. I'd rather sell the stuff cheap so someone gets some use out of it, then to try and squeeze a few extra nickels out of someone.
  22. Man ain't that the truth..... But great save though. Did anyone suggest Diesel to soak the locks in?
  23. Great pics...thanks so much for sharing those with us!! I love that pic of the the big saw blade! My grandfather had a big blade like that on a portable cutter that ran off a belt between the saw and the PTO on the old 40's Farmall McCormick tractor.
  24. Other then a few select streets, everything is parallel or standard grid parking.
  25. I've come across his stuff before...very neat. Fun to try and guess what parts he's used to great those awesome works of art.
