  1. My P15 ragtop had two heaters.......mis matched.........when I got it. Only replaced the one on the passenger side with a genuine MoPar item. Didn't think I needed two since I don't drive it much in real cold weather.
  2. Seems like, on one of my flathead engines in the past, there was a part underneath the base of the carburetor, shaped the same, that was metal, about a quarter inch thick, and had one or two plugs in the side of it.......I assume it was for connecting something like wipers......or who knows what? I don't know if the above makes any sense......and don't know if I still have that item. If I find it, will post a picture. It might work for what you want on the PcV.
  3. That is a nice looking old Plym. Sorry to hear of your mishap. I don't know if Olddaddy makes a conversion setup for one of that model year.......... Some have used kits from Scarebird. There are others as well.
  4. That one in the link above looks like the same type information as in my 46-48 Parts Manual.....with exploded views and how many fasterners something will require, etc. They are handy books to me. I see the same seller had my model book listed at $97......sure glad I bought years ago for probably $25 or so. Those books do not tell Everything......but cover most of it. Good luck on work on your car.
  5. It appears that the seat has been redone with vinyl.........it would have been cloth. The bumper guards have been removed from both bumpers.
  6. Looks to me like the window frames have already been re done once....and that finish is wearing off. So, they would probably need to be sanded down and wood grained again.....or if that can't be done, at least painted a color complimentary to the interior. There are articles and instructions on woodgraining out there......just have to find them.
  7. Link to Tool Warehouse..........who sells those break apart clips.................. The Tool Warehouse online has some of these...........link........ http://thetoolwareho...CFehaMgodcR8A7A
  8. Mine is like Ed's..........needle at the top and matches the slant of the hash marks............
  9. I see the remains of seat covers on the rear seat.........they probably helped preserve the original upholstery. That steering wheel is excellent looking. I think it's a winner.
  10. "Turning the fan only shows that the water pump is not stuck." True Don..........the bottom pulley should be turned rather than the fan........
  11. The front fender trim on a P15 has an offset stud that is not centered. Pretty much of the rest is centered to the trim piece.
  12. I think you can use, in most places on the car, some of those new style clips where you break off part of the top to fit the width of the trim. The Tool Warehouse online has some of these...........link........ http://thetoolwarehouse.net/p-38180-auveco-19378.aspx?gclid=CLiWpNrX2sACFehaMgodcR8A7A
  13. Regarding pictures.........I would suggest going to PhotoBucket online photo album. You will have to read what they say.......but I think they give you a free album of up to so much space. Then, after the number of pictures exceed that storage, they charge about $75 a year or so. You can opt to resize automatically any pictures you place into the album, then they have a feature where you just copy the picture U R L and paste it into a photo box on this forum. I suppose the best way to see if the motor is not stuck up is to loosen the fan belt and see if you can turn the fan by hand. IF not stuck, you can follow up by putting in new plugs, points, rotor, distributor cap, battery. The car should be (if not messed with by previous owner) six volts, positive ground. I would check the oil to see how clean or dirty it appears. Also, does it need any coolant added? The brake master cylinder is under the driver's floor with a little trap door in the floor to open and get to the cylinder. Thereby you can see if there is brake fluid........ I think there is a way and place to check trans fluid level.....but the Dodge guys will have to tell you that. "Fluid Drive" is simply a fluid coupling or clutch between engine and transmission. It's pretty mushy on the take off, but is basically your normal 3 speed manual transmission. Not sure if all this info is exactly correct as I own a Plymouth.....not a Dodge.....and am not the world's greatest mechanic. But ultimately, with cleaning up and getting it running, you can have a lot of fun with that old Dodge. Around here in southwest Missouri when I take my Plymouth to a show or cruise-in, I'm usually the only old MoPar vehicle there. So it gets plenty of attention. Good luck and have fun. OK Dodge people..........now you can give him the right info.................
  14. Hopefully it will work. This stuff gets kinda confusing sometimes.
  15. Man......a great looking coupe, appears to be in very good original condition. Those have gotten harder to find. It can serve as a good example for others as to how they were when new with all their specific parts and trim. Many cars have been taken apart, parts lost, etc......and the repair and parts books only contain so much information regarding how things went together. Anyway.......welcome.
  16. Hello Guy.......welcome............what part of Oklahoma are you from? I'm in Joplin, MO in the corner of Mo...Oklahoma and Kansas. Sounds like you've found a goodie.
  17. One more.........
  18. Another image..........
  19. Here is one flasher schematic i Googled............
  20. I forget what the letters are on the flasher unit, but I think you are probably doing it right. I have discovered that not all flashers are equal. Some work better than others, but you can't tell by looking or by brand name. The only way is hook them up and try them. Some blink faster than others and seem stronger.
  21. Does your steering wheel have the large horn ring, or just the small center cap? They appear to have similar but different components inside.
  22. You might check with Antique Auto Parts in Denton, Texas. Also with Frank Mitchell Mopar, who sells on eBay. or Neil Riddle, Seaplym on eBay.
  23. Nice.........I like the looks of the 40 coupes.
  24. Silver was the original color on all these old Mopar flatheads...........in all makes. But you can do it anyway you like. You could do the block in a light to medium blue with navy blue accessories instead of black. Or......whatever you like. I did mine in Por 20 high temp aluminum with black accessories......car is yellow. Inner fenders are black. Gold item in the background is an ooogah horn.
