  2. Glad to hear you'll legally be on the road soon. Also, thank you for your contribution towards the cailfornia debt by way of the DMV.
  3. Got a good belly laugh from that one. I'm sending it to all my friends that suffer from it. Course, I don't!. Gotta go, time to wind the cat and throw the clock out.
  4. Tim, Got a motel picked out yet? I'm thinkin I want to get my reservations in before they get all booked up. Let me know a motel and what days you think we need to be there. A cheap motel is fine for me.
  5. I'm not familiar with the models MC - MK, but if it would be helpful to the group then please do scan it and send it to me. Tony Buckley has copied many items from the Land of Oz that we have posted permanently on the DPETCA website: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/garage/garage.htm One of the purposes of the website is to act as a library/resource for all those souls desperately looking for information about their restoration projects.
  6. You're only a dreams distance away. I would love to drive the AlCan Hwy all the way to Fairbanks and tow the truck behind. But it won't happen this year, or probably the next decade. I have an appointment with Bonneville speed week this year. My hope is still to drive to Alaska sometime in my life.
  7. Add my brother, Earl to the cause. I invited him earlier and he's planning on coming. So, that's two from Santa Rosa wanting to get salty. Are we going to do camping in the turn, or motel it?
  8. When I first started my project I thought it was about the trucks. I'm learning it's as much about the adventures and the people you meet. Sounds like you did well on both accounts. Glad you're having a good time.
  9. Tom, I do not know Dominik. I am just relaying his message. Would recommend you contact him directly for more information. Dave, I'm sending a note to GTK with your message
  10. Glad to hear about your rescue.. Is this anything akin to rescuing animals from the shelter?
  11. I received this note from Dominik in Nova Scotia. He's looking for a Route Van. --------------------------------- I am looking for a midsize wheelbase Dodge Route Van. Year doesn't matter, since it was built from 1948-1953, and I don't know any changes, that occurred thru the years. I would like to turn it into a mobile electronics lab for my start up company. It doesn't need to be in good condition, I guess, I can fix it myself. I would be happy about every info I can get. So if anyone knows a place, where to get one, please let me know. I'm not even in your country, so I guess I have to take every Route Van I get offered, since they are so rare. Plan to take it to Nova Scotia, Canada. There is a ferry from Massachusetts, so this might be the destination point to go to, but I might consider taking a van from Florida or Cali. There were three wheelbases, a 102 inch, a 117 inch, and a 142 inch one. I'm looking for the 117-inch wheelbase. Thanks in advance Dominik djh@mindless.com If you have something then send an email to Dominik at his address above. Hopefully we can help him.
  12. Have you looked in the Serial Number Guide on the DPETCA site? It's for Canadian and Export cars and trucks. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm
  13. Nice blog on the T5 Swap and on the front clip removal. Good to have people that share that kind of information. By the way, read your bio and good to know you're also an IT person, as I am.

  17. I spoke with the publisher recently. He has read the comments here on the forum and agrees that a reprint could be a possibility. He is currently looking to see what the cost would for a small 2nd run. I'll let everyone know when I hear back from him.
  18. The weather was beautiful. A number of new people showed, so we got to make new friends as well as reacquaint with old ones. A great time for all and great food. :) Here's a link to all the pics: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/gallery/v/2010+Clements+BBQ/
  19. Sounds like we need to create a locator service. For people wanting to adopt their own pilot-house.
  20. There should be a couple of guys from around Reno at the Lodi BBQ this weekend. Maybe they can help.
  21. What's so bad is we thought we had avoided Spring Fling only to find out it was again the same weekend. Well we'll just have to hold a BBQ here in Santa Rosa later in the year.
  22. Very Nice. I'm jealous.
  23. A great dad with a terrific looking truck. Who can be that combination?
  24. I vaguely remembered this conversation on the forum so I had to do a search on it. For anyone else considering this here's one previous conversation about it: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=19890&highlight=stovebolt+ignition
