  1. I like to hang car grills and dashes on my walls. My shop currently has a 47 Dodge truck dash, a P15 dash l, and a 94 Dakota grill. Along with lots of signs and random hubcaps.

  4. It might be hung up on the throwout bearing or even stuck in the pilot bushing inside the flywheel........have you removed the inspection cover on the bottom of the bellhousing to check what its like inside?...........when I was young & stupid, ie 16yrs old(54yrs ago) I decided to remove the engine..........undid the rear driveshaft & front shaft bolts.......but it wouldn't come off the parking brake, so undid the gearbox but it wouldn't come away from the bellhousing so undid the engine & pulled the WHOLE SAUSAGE out.........lol........then it was easy to pull the driveshaft from the park brake, the gearbox from the bellhousing and as the engine was now out...........lol......if the bolts are all undone then its just being difficult.........dicuiss its parentage and have another go at it..........lol...........andyd

  5. You can fix the heat riser closed if you'll never drive in the cold or you can fix it to be functional, it's not really all that hard and the spring should still be available. I think I got mine from Burnbaum. Color think this way: if it was bolted directly onto the engine it was silverwith these exceptions. Air filter, oil filter, starter, geni, oil breather, coil mount all black. Splash panels, etc and other engine bay stuff all black.

  6. You could really do this at any time. Some things you could be doing that are productive are to clean out the oil pan area and get the engine to turn over. I dont know if your engine is running but if you have recently received this truck and it has not run in a long time there are some things that I feel are important to do. If you plan to start it I would clean the pan, oil pump, up well. pull the disributor and soak the shaft portion and oil pump in a bucket of clean oil.. The distributor typically has an oil plug but also has a felt pad under the rotar that must be oiled place a few drops under the the felt pad and oil the pad with a few drops. The gas tank needs to be flushed or replaced. Some radiator shops have large enough tanks they can do that for you but best to remove it and flus it yourself and take it to them, or replace the tank with a new Tanks Inc tank and new fuel filters likely carb rebuild if you plan to focus on starting a long unused engine. 8. The bearing retainer is a snug fit in the bellhousing. That's what centers the transmission. It is entirely possible that after 70 some odd years rust has formed and is holding it in place. Now in my yoith I would just to grab the tail shaft and jerk it up and down until it popped free not thinking to thread in some bolts loosely to keep it from falling on me. You might have to get a little more energetic trying to separate it but screw two bolts in a couple of threads just to keep it from falling

  9. In my notes I wrote down rotating the weight CW = block the heat going to the carb and CCW = heat going to the carb. In the picture below the riser is open allowing heat to the carbs. As it heats up the heat riser rotates CW to block the heat to the carbs. As it cools down it will rotate CCW.

  10. That is some nice work Rustyzman. And that is an eleven inch clutch. If only the tranny went in as easy. MBF you are so right. You have to be careful when dealing with outside machine work. I thank the Lord every time I make progress. It is 31 degrees outside so no work today. Ray J.

  11. Thanks for the different pic, that's what mine looks like, except the extra seats actually fold up. The armrests are the same, guess just a matter of finding what and how to make the different contours to go around the top of the armrest and then, then flatten out to fit under the rear quarter window frame,
