Larry, hope you are OK where you are in Kansas. You guys south of the border have really been getting some freakish weather and some big fires burning on both coasts. So far in Canada the weather has been relatively normal for this time of year. Had some beautiful days in Alberta with some more to come but right now it has cooled off a bit and is raining. Farmers will love it. Anyway stay safe in your neck of the woods.

Only 16 hours ? I go to Minn and Wisc every summer, to visit family and friends, takes 10 or 12 hours . Got a really good friend (excellant mechanic ) moved to his 'family farm' in Minto N D He wants me to come up there,...............so you never know...................I just think that when you ( I ) am traveling any distance, it would be nice to know there is someone you could call, if needed. I travel with this old motorhome, 20 years old and 100,000 miles on it, and have had to fix things at 10;00 at night in a K-Mart parking lot ! or trying to find a parts place during rush hour traffic in strange city !....................................finally quit raining, sun is out, about 85, and 95% humindity

Hi Larry your absolutely right, nice to have folks along the way, just in case. We are 3 hours drive north of Fargo, so if Fargo is 10 hours from your location, it would be 13 to mine. By the way, is your friend in Minto or Minot ND, Minot is about 4 hours from my place.............Fred

Stop in and say hi if you head through the twin cities.

Today is May 21/07, the last day of the first long weekend of the summer season. Thousands of people are in the woods camping, after a long cold winter.

And what happens to brighten up such a glorious weekend?

SNOW!!!!!!

Yup, the white stuff is falling, ever so lightly, but white stuff nonetheless

Yesterday rain,

Saturday clouds but nice.

Gotta love this area for weather...if you don't like it, wait five minutes :(

snow ? WOW ! and to think I've complaining about the weather here ! It's been really nice here this past week, 75 and 80, 60's at night. But now I understand we got some more storms comming Wed. I'm guessing it's from the north, northwest , hope it don't bring any SNOW!!!!

Here at my place near Winnipeg Manitoba, it's 73 degrees, severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Red River Valley, lookin for a high of 66 tomorrow. Our normal daytime high is 70, around here this time of year...............Fred

It'a about 6C or 42F here and raining in Lethbridge, Alberta. It's the Victoria Day long weekend in Canada and I cannot remember a nice one for a long time in our neck of the woods. It never fails to be cold or wet or rainy or snowy or a combo of all of the above. Supposed to turn nice after this and I hope it stays that way for the next few months.

Finallly Getting Warm In K T Its Been Unusual for me.It still looks like fall.I lost 2 dogwoods and 15 japaneese mapels. I still have dead leaves falling from a verry cold spell weeks ago.Lost dogwood blooms aswell.Pretty differant here than I am acustom to.

weather has been great here, storm comming in tonite, we lost ALL the buds or blossoms on the fruit trees from the fost a couple weeks back. No sign of any buds anywhere, even the big plum tree......nothing

It has been nice here in Southern Manitoba. But today it's like the pacific north west, about 57 right now with a mist in the air , no wind, yester day it was around 70, but extremely muggy, even at that low temp. Everything is green here, Gold Finches have been back about 2 weeks, Hummingbirds are drinking at the feeders. Lilacs have been in bloom for about a week, so as I have told you before Larry, spring/summer really doesn't start herre until mid May, the trees were leafed out early this year in around May 1st........Fred

I know it's not ''a GUY thing'' but i do like the lilacs. Ours din't last very long, as soon as they bloomed, it froze, was kinda hoping they'd come back the second time. BIG storm west of here again tonite, hope it goes around us !

I like lilacs too and often pick them for my wife to fill the house with their smell. Pouring cats and dogs here right now and there is a heavy snowfall warning for areas north of us like Calgary. Can't seem to properly shake off winter this year. It started late and is sticking around late as well. They are forecasting a hot and dry summer for us but I find these long range forecasts are not often accurate.

Snowfall Warning for tonight!!!!! Rain turning to snow. 10-15 cm accumulation by morning.

32f low, maybe 50 tomorrow..BBBRRRRRR

Supposed to be done with this crap :(

Appreciate you thinking of us...it will be Saturday late before we are ever forcast for rain...and then that is so far in to the future one cannot rely on it one bit..I think we all are getting inverse weather not so much becuase of the tilt of the earth axis is shifting at this time but due to retailers gouging prices and it just suffers with the unjust...lol

Hi all, it's 65 degrees, with a blanket of mosisture and it's like a humid tropical jungle outside, if it were 15 degrees warmer it would be killer. It is misty cloudy and 100 % humidity right now.But the trees, grass and flowers love it. I have ecently planted about 30 new pinetrees in my yard, 1 to 2 footers, they were wild ditch trees, they are lovin this weather, and so amI, don't have to water them nightly.......Fred

with the dry we are having, humidity is like non existant...this is making for bearable work days in the shop..I have been taking advantage of this best I can...got so much more done this weekend toward the lite off of the engine..my oil cooler for the tranny is plumbed and mounted..overflow tank in place, metal fuel line from the carb to below the engine is shaped and mounted for "vibration/engine movement under torque" Every little thing done today is one less for tomorrow...got to live by that for now..lots other small nit-picking things done...plus polishing up the parts from the junkyard run.

I know I shouldnt do this but we rarely get much rain and not too much at one time. yesterday noon till this morning was 2.80" Thats ALOT for us. Now watch the drought creep in,,,again!!! We can go from middle of June to september mid month with zip for rain,,,hope this isnt one of THOSE years!! Guys still trying to plant a crop here!!

I'd like to trade some rain for some of that dry weather ! We had about 10 '' rain the last month ! Got another inch last nite ! More comming this weekend !!! Too wet even to go to the junkyards !!!

On my last post I said I got 2.8" that day. 2 miles from me got 4-6". They really are flooded out. Small town south of here has been sandbagging ever since. they are still pumping basements. The local river was running down the streets,,,its VERY flat there. Lakes now where puddles are usually.
