soth122003 Posted August 30 Report Posted August 30 It's Florida, TS is for Tropical Storm. As for the vacuum, I dialed mine up to 22 then backed it down to 21. Idles great and runs fantastic. The highest I ever got mine on a Carter was 23, but the idle was too low. Joe Lee Quote

I still find the use of actual words so much easier to understand and better at conveying thoughts and ideas than a letter or two. My personal opinion is it's a shame we've become lazy in our speech and language skills and losing our ability to articulate effectively. I'll plead ignorant now and step down off the soapbox. I have never seen one of the automatic chokes on these cars. If you want to post a couple of pictures of your carburetor I can compare them to the new carburetor and see if it looks like it would work. There was an extra bracket on the carburetor that I removed that didn't do anything on my car. Quote
grea235 Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 If you are talking about a D6H2 with a Sisson, I have one and took a picture of the choke lever side. The choke moves in the same direction, but it looks like the choke rod from the Sisson would need to be able to adapt to the UN2. Maye graft the Sisson rod to the UN2 rod? The stock air cleaner wouldn't fit. Quote
38plymouth Posted November 15 Author Report Posted November 15 I just wanted to post a little update on the performance of this new carburetor. Now that it is finally starting to cool off in Florida I've been starting to drive the car more. I wish I had bought this carburetor years ago, in almost 25 years of owning the car it's never run this great. It runs so smooth and idles so good now. It has more power and it just runs cleaner. I used to always have some exhaust odor and that's virtually gone now. I probably rebuilt that old carburetor 10 times over the years and it never ran this good. Oh yeah and no more leaks. 2 1 Quote
