  1. Oh cool. I'm buying the metal stems to install since they've left the tubes in whenever they installed the tires that are on it now.
  2. I found Valve stems on Amazon, the Milton's in a set of 5. Going to buy new tires and valve stems and be done with it for now.
  3. Cool, went to that show yesterday and other than a cut valve stem on the way home, the car performed flawlessly. This was our longest trip in it. But looking at the flat tire when I got home, the tires are 20 years old and somebody left the tubes in the tires, probably because they couldn't get the right valve stems.
  4. So, I'm sure this has been covered many times over. We are looking at new wheels for our 1951 Cranbrook. Has anyone had any trouble with the lug bolts and aftermarket wheels? I will be staying steel wheels with conical seats. Thinking of going with the us wheel smoothies in a 15x6 they seem to only offer them with a 3.75" backspace will that be ok?
  5. I agree entirely, I would never buy tires that were more than a few years old to actually drive on, but 3 or less years old, I'll grab them up. I'd definitely check the date code, and even if you don't, the shop you use definitely should.
  6. Yeah, I've priced new as well. Not in my budget.
  7. My father-in-law actually has those on his Harley, I thought about it. I'm going to message the person who has them and ask some questions. Our longest trip last summer was a little over an hour to the rockabilly ruckus in Ohio. Doubt We'd go much further than that with it.
  8. That would be even better because right now it's reading faster. Win-win I say. When the speedo says 95 and people are passing like your standing still lol
  9. Thanks, we don't do alot of highway driving, mostly just cruising to shows and such. Think I might just grab them up. I love the look of wide whites and for 150.00 I don't think I can pass them up.
  10. I have a 51 cranbrook and my wife just ran across a set of 7.10 15 tires with wide white walls which I'm looking for. Would these be okay on my car? It does have 15" wheels. And currently has 215/75r15 tires on it. The speedometer is all wonky so not worried much about that.
  11. The Plymouth Doctor appears to sell them. I'll be giving them a call soon
  12. Man, I was feeling for you with all the starter issues. Glad she's running.
  13. Hey guys, been reading alot but first time posting. I recently purchased a 51 Cranbrook, it needs a little work but for the most part I'm leaving it alone. Wiring is atrocious and must be dealt with soon. Aside from that it needs rockers and floor pans which seem to be readily available. However I am going to need one of the floor braces. Anyone ever found them available?
