Terminal connector for sw

I have a frustrating problem with this new used dimmer switch from AB.  No connection fasteners came with the switch. The other 2 switches I have..old and new have a threaded end on the tabs.  Any ideas how I can connect to this switch?  Should I contact AB and ask if he has the little fasteners that should go with this switch?  I guess I could carefully drill the square slots and simply put a small screw and nut through the slot.   Sorry for the pix as I kept rotating it and saving but it keeps rotating wrong for this.  Double UGH

(rotation fixed...your friendly neighborhood mod  :)  )

Not as commonly found but there is a wider female blade style connector for 10-12 gauge wire that might work.

As @Dave72dt mentions, you can get a wider female spade that will probably fit. But don’t spend more than $30 on it because you can get a dimmer switch for you car with screw terminals like you want from you local auto supply for that. See, for example: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHDS101

I am grateful that there are specialty vendors that have hard to find parts for our cars but I always wonder why people use them for run of the mill parts that are usually locally available.

Looks to me like they should have a speed nut with them.

I have heard good things about AB, never dealt with them myself ..... your part looks incomplete to me.

I feel AB should have provided the fasteners with the part if they want to sell it.

I feel it will cost you another $4 to get them from the local hardware store with the screws to go with it.

Same time I feel the size of the part is deceiving in a photo .... It may not be as easy to find correct size that will fit. Or it may be simple.

I still feel AB should be told about the issue, it is their reputation on the line .... might be just easier to go get the stuff needed locally.

That switch is not complete in my book with no way to fasten the wires to it.

Thanks Neighborhood Mod for the pix fix !  I searched a bit for an 8 mm spade.  I looked at restoration stuff web site etc. I decided to repair the broken switch and it was easy enough after finding the spring.  I did clean that used switch proper prior. Took a chisel to secure the backing so it wouldn’t come apart again.  Called AB and he apologized and said it was the only switch for my truck and it didn’t have the fasteners.  He offered to take it back but that’s cool. I decided to keep it. So I rifled through my nuts and bolts and screws inventory and found 3 screws meant for grounding electrical stuff. They screwed right in with no drilling so problem solved.  The good thing about posting a problem to this forum is you will get some thoughts on how to fix it. It gives me pause to think a bit deeper how to solve and go forward.
