Young Ed Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I don't like it. Having all 4 stainless grill bars might improve it somewhat. The colors really should be reversed though. Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I vote no. I dont like the hubcaps either. A vintage truck should look like a truck not a pimpmobile. Quote
chucky07 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 would make a nice Valentine present for my wife:) Quote
Bob_Koch Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I've seen some red and white trucks at car shows and it can look good. It looks very 50's. but this one hasn't accomplished the right look. Quote
Young Ed Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Dodge did have some spring time specials with paint jobs similar to that. I don't know what the paint combos were on those though Quote
48Dodger Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Red and black or some other combo.....to much contrast. Looks like he painted half the truck and left the rest in primer. 48D Quote
Falcon(63) Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I agree with the "Zen Master". Colors should be reversed. Apparently, according to the bidding others apparently like it????????????????????? Quote
Young Ed Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I've been called zen master a lot lately. I have my name in my signature but I'm getting the feeling that people aren't seeing it??? Quote
Vintrader Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I am not crazy about the red and white look. maybe reversed? I think Harold had the right idea for the two-tone when he did this truck. Dutch Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 The wheel covers look like maybe cheapie aftermarket plastic wires. Real Chrysler wire wheels would be cool...... Don't much care for his two tone treatment.....I would prefer solid red. The paint scheme could be changed, but then that would cost some more money, even doing your own work. Otherwise, it seems nice enough. Solid red...... Quote

Young Ed Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Anyone good with photoshop want to give the ebay one a white roof to complete the spring time special two-tone? Maybe that would fix it. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 They would also need to wrap the white further to the back corner of the cab. Then maybe Ed will buy it. Quote
Young Ed Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I've got enough projects! I may have inherited a 54 international pickup recently too...... Quote
dmulhall Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 ummm...yeah... it is definitely different... is the first thing that comes to mind add some green and it would be a good christmas present with santa riding in the back. Dont like leaving the interior brown either. Are the rear fenders not a little square also? Quote
Thunder II Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I as hoping somebody would bring this pic up...... Pic up, hey, thats funny.... I'm planning on the two tone brown for my B-2G. Someday, not soon, but someday..... Quote
Todd B Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I like it, it has character. Todd B Quote
Big50Dodge Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 I've been called zen master a lot lately. I have my name in my signature but I'm getting the feeling that people aren't seeing it??? A lot of people miss a lot of things on the web - in a hurry, not paying attention, who knows. It's best not to take it personal, don't waste time replying to it, and just move on. In keeping with the original thread - nope, don't like the paint scheme. These truck seem to look better (to me at least) in the darker colors - red, forrest green, black, dark blues, etc. Started to paint mine (just to keep from rusting more - not a good paint by any means) sunshine red. I think that was even too light of a red. Quote
51 Fargo Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 MIne is close to it and I was told it,s a Spring Special Quote
Guest oldcarguy Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Is that the emergency break in front of the right front tire? Quote
51 Fargo Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Is that the emergency break in front of the right front tire? yup that is special order, it sits in the cab on the floor. they call it a STOP rock .......... :D Quote
