iowa51 Posted December 22, 2022 Report Posted December 22, 2022 Found this in a box of stuff. Approximately 3" X 5 1/2". I grew up/live in Mason City but have never heard of Hart Motors, with the 3 digit phone number way before my time. The address is now a parking lot. 5 Quote
Bryan G Posted December 22, 2022 Report Posted December 22, 2022 Glad you posted that! I used to have one identical but advertising a dealer in West Virginia. In a weak moment I threw it on eBay. Looking back, I'd rather have had the clipboard vs the cash. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted December 22, 2022 Report Posted December 22, 2022 I have similar one I bought off e-pay. Quote

nonstop Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 Odd - me too! I guess we just keep selling them to each other! Quote
9 foot box Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 There is one now for sale on eBay. I just happened to have an original, made 12/22/22. Didn’t cost a cent. Rick D. Quote
bkahler Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 I got mine off of ebay years ago. I doubt the phone number on the label is valid anymore 1 Quote
iowa51 Posted December 23, 2022 Author Report Posted December 23, 2022 I also posted this on the local "Remember when" local historical page. Pre 1957 as this was when the local phone numbers changed to 7 digits. Building next to this address (124 N. Delaware) was a new car dealership and is still standing, though not as a car dealership. The person commenting said this was a Dodge dealership. Never notice this building as an old multiple story car dealership, but driving by I can now see the resemblance to other old downtown buildings that I know, at one time, were dealerships. Quote
iowa51 Posted December 25, 2022 Author Report Posted December 25, 2022 This was posted on the other site. The building has been divided up into several business, maybe the whole building as a single business was 120 N. Delaware? Quote
billrigsby Posted January 12, 2023 Report Posted January 12, 2023 (edited) I finally found one at a ?reasonable? price for the condition. Did not come with the note pad, so I made my own. Edited January 12, 2023 by billrigsby Quote
billrigsby Posted January 13, 2023 Report Posted January 13, 2023 5 minutes ago, nonstop said: How did you make the notepad? I created the artwork in a CorelDraw and printed all the pages. Used a DIY padding compound, consisting of Water, Unflavored Gelatin, White Wine Vinegar and Glycerin. Clamped it all together with a cardboard back board, painted the padding gel on each end and had the local print shop use their ancient cutter to trim to size. This was the 'expendable' first page.... Did a total of twenty, 18 are on eBay (shameless self promotion) ? Quote
