Mikec4193 Posted March 4, 2022 Report Posted March 4, 2022 Love that crusty rusty look a lot... What plans do you have for it? MikeC Quote
Kingdave Posted March 4, 2022 Author Report Posted March 4, 2022 Raise it up from it's grave first to assess it's condition , if it's solid enough try and get it driveable was told it was parked cuase of a timing chain jumped a link Quote
Eneto-55 Posted March 4, 2022 Report Posted March 4, 2022 My brother had a 50 or 51 Dodge that had sunken so deep in the Oklahoma mud that when he attempted to jack it up, the frame broke where it was resting on the dirt. The leaf springs were also completely rusted in two. (Hate to be a bearer of bad vibes, but that doesn't look to promising to me, for the frame, at least.) Still loads of good parts, in any case. joecoozie Posted March 5, 2022 Report Posted March 5, 2022 Looks like a Special Deluxe based on the the fact that it has stainless trim around the windshield. No interior shots to verify. Would need to see if there is a horn ring. If there is one it is a Special Deluxe Also, if you decide to part it out let us know. Parts are needed. Quote
squirebill Posted March 5, 2022 Report Posted March 5, 2022 Always admired a '49 Plymouth.....think it was one of the earliest cars that had "fins" so to speak. Bought a non-running '49 4 door for $10.00 a few months before I was drafted for my patriotic chore in 1969. Never got it running before I left. My Mom junked it 6 months before I got out but gave me her '65 Malibu SS. Pretty nice car . Wish I was able to keep either/both of them. Good luck with yours. Best regards. Stay in touch. Quote
Kingdave Posted March 6, 2022 Author Report Posted March 6, 2022 I went down today to try jacking it up but we got 4" of new snow the other day , I did determine it's a special deluxe , had the emblems horn ring oil filter etc. Quote
