After all these years I'm still seeing things in the parts book that I don't need ... but I just gotta have.

NOS Spare wheel cover.  Part # still visible.

Who knew?  Anybody seen / have one of these?

that is just the retainer for fixing the spare wheel against the spare stand when in the wheel well.  I removed one of these yesterday from a P15 2 door sedan I parted out and took to the crusher.   However, I do not recall an embossed part number on the heavy metal cupped retainer.

PA,  I also have the retainer and bolt that secure the spare. They are under this cover.

This , according to the parts book, is the spare wheel cover. Listed under the hub cap section.

I tried an old dDodge dog dish cap but it will not fit over the retainer.

That lead me to the parts book, and my find.

Seems like a part that was easily lost over the years.

Just think how many original owners tossed that the first time they had to change a tire.  But you're right, I don't "need" one of those, either.  But now I'll be on the lookout for one.

Shoot, I'd be happy if I had any of that stuff including the jack and tire iron.  Seems someone tossed all that and the spare too over the years.

Be thankful you don't have the original Plymouth jack.   They had a lousy design and allowed the car to easily slip off (BTDT).
