48ply1stcar Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) Has anyone purchased this carpet from Goliner, if so can you recommend it? Edited January 31, 2022 by 48ply1stcar added info Quote
Tom Skinner Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 You really don't say who is offering this carpet. It seems a bit pricey. There is a place in East Orange New Jersey that offers these carpets for around $200. They frequently show up under 1948 Chrysler on Ebay. They offer 2 and 4 door carpets (Loop) I believe. I went to VPW site and bought a rubber Mat for the front of my 1948 Chrysler Royal and you can get Hogs Hair Carpet from Bill Hirsch in Newark New Jersey at about a $100 a sq. yd. Originally they were Hogs Hair. There are some cheap carpet alternatives if you are patient and handy and buy and cut your own. Remember (At Least I have to) you have to access some places under the front to service the vehicle. Good Luck! Tom Quote
48ply1stcar Posted January 25, 2022 Author Report Posted January 25, 2022 The above carpet is offered by Goliners on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/313607757018?hash=item49047a9cda:g:0IAAAOSwKtlWrtLr Quote
Young Ed Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 I put jc Whitney carpet in my coupe. It was a little trimming to fit but at about 1/4 that price 1 Quote

48ply1stcar Posted January 31, 2022 Author Report Posted January 31, 2022 I bought a carpet from Stock Interiors, I not impressed. Not only does it need to be trimmed in the front corners, the edge by front door edge is not finished and they don't meet under the seat. Quote
greg g Posted January 31, 2022 Report Posted January 31, 2022 Stock Interiors was the source of my carpet. Also not impressed. Advertised as being a direct fit, it's close but no cigar. Look elsewhere. 1 Quote
capt den Posted February 1, 2022 Report Posted February 1, 2022 i used jc whitney carpet. much cheaper, and not a perfect fit but close enough so that a little trimming it went in nicely. my car is a convrtible so i had to buy the one for a 2 door. i am pleased with the look and quality. what you buy depends on if the car is a driver or built to concourse standards. your choice and money. capt den Quote
dwest999 Posted February 2, 2022 Report Posted February 2, 2022 Been looking for an affordable kits for my '54 Dodge. Just ordered it from JC Whitney. My floors have been redone so I know I'll have to do some fitting. Thanks all for the lead! Quote
