Ulu Posted January 14, 2022 Report Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) These are the door latches that are on my off topic project car. I’d like to know what they came from because clearly they weren’t manufactured just for this car. I would hate to toss them because they are at least 42 years old, but if these are just ordinary hardware store parts that are available to this day then they are junk to me. Whatever they are, They are not old or sloppy. This car was never driven much after it was built. Edited January 14, 2022 by Ulu Quote
NoGoFargo Posted January 15, 2022 Report Posted January 15, 2022 I am certain I have seen this style of latch somewhere before ( photographic memory darn it ) but I can’t remember for certain what they were on... I’m undecided between old school bus rear/emergency door latches or a vintage trailer latch. The memory will most likely pop in my head at 4:00am Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 15, 2022 Report Posted January 15, 2022 (edited) looks like this one...I am thinking these were popular on home made/aftermarket Jeep cabs.....this application was my mental recall... LazyK Posted January 15, 2022 Report Posted January 15, 2022 also used on older RV/travel trailers Quote

Ulu Posted January 15, 2022 Author Report Posted January 15, 2022 Thanks guys. These things are awful and they need to go. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 15, 2022 Report Posted January 15, 2022 Look very similar to older wheel loader cab door latches, or older tractor cab latches. Quote
