Sconley7942 Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 New here just joined, picked up a 46 Plymouth sedan this past weekend, I tried the search engine but failing. Does anyone here have part #s for the inner and outer tie rod ends, or can you tell me if they are the same side to side, all 4 are shot on the car, I am also going to need new king pins but not having any trouble finding those. If any one has any experience and can tell me about any parts needed along with the king pins that would be awesome. I am trying not to take the car off the road. Only doing weekend repairs. I have a terrible habit of disassembling too far, getting carried away and then years pass without enjoying the car. Any/all help is appreciated. Quote
greg g Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 (edited) I just put some in sourced through oriellys for my 46 they had the for me second morning after ordering. Think they were 22 bucks per each. I believe I posted the part numbers. So do a search for tie rods through my activity think it was late August or early Sept. You can search by post author as well as subject. Or just go to oriellys online and order them up. Edited February 4, 2020 by greg g Quote

Sconley7942 Posted February 4, 2020 Author Report Posted February 4, 2020 Thank you so much, I was having trouble finding all of the parts listed at one place, and if you buy a kit with all 4 the price is stupid. you have been a great help Quote
greg g Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 Yeah 90 bucks for 4 or 4 for 300.00! Don't think so! Quote
westaus29 Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 Strange! I cant access oreilly auto website from Down Under, says access denied no matter how I try. Would be useful to have another source Quote
Sniper Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 ES158L and ES158R are the Moog numbers, a good parts guy should be able to cross that. 1 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 some of the big box stores like to price things out of their CLASSIC CAR section at truly 4 times the price. Gotta watch this stuff closely. Quote
YukonJack Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 I was curious and clicked on the link. They aren't 22.00 anymore. 25.99 now. Quote
Sconley7942 Posted February 5, 2020 Author Report Posted February 5, 2020 I ordered them yesterday along with a king pin kit, as long as life doesn't throw me a curve ball hoping to straighten out the front end the following weekend. Can't wait to get cruising Quote
Sniper Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 You can get them from Rock auto, an off brand is even less. Just do a search on the part numbers I posted above. Quote
