Frank Elder Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 This gentleman on the Hamb used a D-50 IFS On a 30s ? style Dodge truck.....first time I've heard of that one, I wonder how hard it is to source parts for it and its Mitsu clone. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-official-dodge-truck-thread.1128449/ Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted March 5, 2019 Report Posted March 5, 2019 (edited) I had a 1979 D50 Sport 2.6.... only bad thing with it was the head cracking and the wax choke. Otherwise It was a super little PU. I too would rather have the D50 than the ugly ugly PU. Edited March 5, 2019 by Dodgeb4ya Quote

Mine had the balance shaft jump time and later dropped the little swirl valve in one cylinder. So, I installed Mustang engine and C4 automatic. Neater little truck then! 1 Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted March 5, 2019 Report Posted March 5, 2019 I had a 79 Plymouth Arrow Pick up with the 2.6 and a 5 speed. Really liked it but the lure of a 5.0 Mustang took me away 1 Quote

The one I had was Candy Corn too...Automatic/PS with the console.... flat black/orange outside with matching orange and black seats... Only other 1979 Sport package was the Bumble bee colors........... Black and Yellow combo . Drove mine close to 200,000 miles. Quote
Dave72dt Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 Given the choice of owning either, I'd take the old one, hands down. The D50 does absolutely nothing for me. 1 Quote
