Batterzazu Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 I picked up a new toy. The tile says it is a 1948 but I think it is in the 50's. serial number 82580207 model B-3HHA152 i am not sure if it is a 1 1/2 ton or a 2 ton. I do know that I need an new front axle after a failed attempt at replacing king pins. Does anyone have a source of used parts in the Minneapolis Minnesota area? i am having trouble adding a photo of the truck Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 B-3 says it's a '51 or '52 model year. HHA I believe is a 2 ton with 2 speed rear axle. 152 is the wheel base. Then I run your serial number through the VIN decoder at http://www.t137.com/registry/help/decode.php and I get; Serial Number 82580207 Year 1951 Make Dodge Model B-3-H, B-3-HA, B-3-HH, B-3-HHA, B-3-HHS Engine 236.6 Flathead Six Wheelbase 128, 152, 170, 192 Rating 1 1/2 Ton Engineering Code T316, TS-316 Plant Detroit, Michigan Build Number 207 Quote
Los_Control Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 Just makes ya wonder what the 1948 title goes to 1 Quote

If you have a competent machine shop available you may be able to have that axle repaired. Where I work we have bored and bushed these before, just take it to them and let them look at it. Batterzazu Posted April 12, 2017 Author Report Posted April 12, 2017 Hi all! Thank you for all of the input, it is appreciated. Here are some pictures of the truck that some of you have asked for. 1 Quote
Pete Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 I used to go to this salvage yard in New London, MN when I lived there about 20 years ago. It was a great place for finding parts at that time. They let you roam and pick parts back then, Don't know if they still do: http://www.windyhillautoparts.com/ Quote

40plyguy Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 An Axle Doctor franchise should be able to repair the axle bore by overboring it, installing a bushing and reaming it to fit your pin. Where I work they do that all the time. Just another alternative.............. Quote
