Captain Neon
This ol' farm boy has dinner at 12:00 AM, and lunch around 4:00 PM. Folks on the coasts probably call it "tea time." During the summer, it was not uncommon for supper to be served around 8:30 PM, especially when haying.
Merle Coggins
Growing up in northern WI we had Breakfast in the morning, Dinner around noon, and Supper in the evening. When I moved down to the Milwaukee area I adapted to the Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner way of thinking in the "Big City". Now I tend to interchange the terms Dinner and Supper when referring to the evening meal. Now that I'm living a little farther north again I tend to hear Supper more often. Maybe it's all of the Supper Clubs up around here. Merle
TodFitch
Excluding "brunch", I always thought it was breakfast (first meal of day, breaking the overnight fast), lunch and supper for the times, and "dinner" for the largest meal of the day which was usually at supper. 48Dodger
Hmmmm.......I don't think I've ever heard the term "I made supper reservations" Maybe dinner means "fancy" meal? Thou I did hear that breakfast is slang for "breaking your fast" and dinner is Latin for "breaking a fast"..... 48D Ps. your pic made me have a mini heart attack Merle...lol
