pflaming
This is not Mopar, but it is an interesting photo. By how the crow flies, those mountains are only 50 miles away and that skyline is around 8,000' above sea level. I took the picture at 300' above sea level near my home. However because of our smog, we see that view possibly 10 times a year.

pflaming
In zero temp weather, we could hear those locomotives out at the ranch 10 miles away, memories of the 50's.

Don Coatney
I read a while back that the Vega rail cars were special made to maximize the number of Vegas they could cram into one rail car for shipment to California. Bet there were shipped dry as with that butts up position I would think oil and battery fluids etc. would leak.

Ulu
I thought the vega ones were pretty awesome Yes, sort of like i-Robot transporters. If you saw the movie you understand. If you only read the book, you won't. Imagine big cars with sides that open wide and rows of robots hanging from racks like Vegas. LOL
Plymouthy Adams
the Vega rail cars has been pictured here before...could well have been yet another thorn in the side of GM after the car fell on its face to have special rail cars committed to nothing...
