BobT-47P15 Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Saw this car in an area town last week...........just thought I'd post the pic and see how many can I D it. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 at first look I would say 39 LaSalle Quote
wdoland Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 I agree with Plymouthy but the grill looks home made Quote
greg g Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Gee our old La Salle ran great. It must be the contractors special with the rebar grille. http://americandreamcars.com/1939lasalle5027cp071010.jpg Quote
mrwrstory Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Kinda looks like a Buick with an attempt at a LaSalle grill Quote
DonaldSmith Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 The side grilles say '39 LaSalle. The center grille is "custom". Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 yes the center section does appear to be a rigged set up...am sure it looks better than a busted up original or no insert at all...look at the trunk and the lights in the rear....another key factor.......who knows it may be the next area rat rod... Jeff Balazs Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 I could easily picture George Raft in that thing. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 12, 2015 Author Report Posted August 12, 2015 Yes.....it said LaSalle on the rear bumper. That grille is kinda odd, allright. It is sitting next to a metal building containing 5 or so other old cars, including a model T and a Model A and one of those kit "Gazelle" style roadsters. Quote
