Around the curve

Lickety split

Its a beautiful car

wasn't it

Posted (edited)

I can remember as a kid reading rusty old Burma-shave signs, way out in the desert, long after they were gone everywhere else.

There was something else too...some similar roadside ad signs that you saw along the highways, hawking some product or other.

I don't remember what they sold, but they were little steel signs which people evidently liked for target practice.  Lots of them were a bit shot up.

At crossroads

don't just

trust to luck

may be a truck

Twinkle, twinkle

One-eyed car

We all wonder

where

you are

From 1963:

Don't lose

your head

to gain a minute

you need you head

your brains are in it
