That's a neighbor of mine.  He's a custom body guy.  He drives it to coffee regularly.  Workmanship is flawless.  Has a Chrysler Hemi.  I woulda never thunk about the Chevy headlights,....probably a good thing  .  This one has many creative and interesting details.  'Tho I like customs, this one is a bit extreme for my taste.

Thanks for posting the pics that I could not seem to.

Could have easily skipped the Chev. headlights though!

I've seen this car in person a few times & it is very well done for a kustom. Not my preference on a few of the mods though. Like Bill said, it is HEMI powered.

Without a doubt excellent craftsmanship and flawless finishing... but...

I'd like to see more of custom builts with real inspiration, taste and sense of style of their own.

Seems that it's an art defined by strict rules and in the end they all look different the very same way, if you know what I mean.

It's a must to use non original headlights, must to loose bumper guards, must to chop the top, must to lower the stance to ground...

In this case the front end is not improved from original, but on the contrary I bet you'll get bored with "the new look" much faster than the factory original.

To me it looks like front end of late 50's truck pasted on a coupe...

The modern side view mirrors look like aliens in family manor.

All this effort and skills could have brought about much more of result if only better taste and sense of period correct style. IMO.

so this is why I don't like customs....lol....a custom is a deviation from the original but not following a defined script in the build..the above in red are limiters that make it a copy cat car more than a original builders customs and will fit a period/era/traditional/ or tribute theme...more than one way to skin a car..more than one way to re-address a car's body/features

Some of it I like, some of it, not so much.  I wonder how we would perceive the headlight treatment if the factory had built them that way and some customizer decided to redo the fenders with a single light instead.  I consider them a one person's concept of how the factory should have built them.  A lot of production cars look considerably different than the concept they were based from and then again, there's some good reasons they weren't built like the some of the concepts.  Some concepts were really bad and some production units were too.
