Are any of you interested in seeing some California gold rush history or train history?

We could set up a trip to either Old Sacramento or Columbia.

I'll be at Tim's for a while, so if someone wants to head out from there so I can get out of his hair (and beer fridge) I'd be up for something.

Also:  if something in my classified ad piques your interest and I can pack it along I will.

Would this be on the day of the picnic? or the day preceding or following?

Before or after the BBQ. Maybe Sunday?

Columbia is only 45 minutes or so from Tim's place.

The state railroad museum in Sacramento and adjacent old town are great. But if one wanted to do Columbia there is still a railroad option near there that is a state park and, I think, considered to be part of the state railroad museum:

Bunch of movies and TV shows filmed using the equipment at Jamestown. http://www.railtown1897.org/film-credits

Christy Anne and Dave from DODGE CITY will be at the show with a few 30's era hot rods.....they're in James Town.

Old Town Sac is a great place to hang out, love the Train Museum.

Count me in!

I'm thinking of taking the foothill road home via Yosemite. Would love a caravan. Maybe make Yosemite a turn around spot or an overnight spot.  Good waterfalls in April.  Lodging may be booked in the valley.
