casper50 Posted February 8, 2018 Author Report Posted February 8, 2018 I have been thinking about it. Have to find a good set of 16" rings that don't break the bank. Quote

casper50 Posted March 22, 2018 Author Report Posted March 22, 2018 Got the beauty rings on. Looks a little busy to me but I think it looks better than no rings. 2 Quote
46Ply Posted March 22, 2018 Report Posted March 22, 2018 I think it looks good with them on! Need a darker pinstripe. Quote
casper50 Posted March 22, 2018 Author Report Posted March 22, 2018 The pinstripe is the same color as the car. Black would be about the only color darker. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 22, 2018 Report Posted March 22, 2018 With the white rims and wide white walls the beauty ring kind of get lost. (my opinion). They would stand out much more with darker wheels and different tires, but again, that's my opinion and not something I would expect you to change. The car is looking AWESOME. You've come a long way... 1 Quote
casper50 Posted March 22, 2018 Author Report Posted March 22, 2018 I agree Merle but I'm not changing it now. The wheels are powder coated. Quote

casper50 Posted March 22, 2018 Author Report Posted March 22, 2018 Had to move the coupe from the rear or (project) garage to the front parking garage before my surgery next week. Want to the the next project inside. 2 Quote
casper50 Posted May 18, 2018 Author Report Posted May 18, 2018 Most likely the last post in this thread. Went for my first drive in the coupe today. A few bugs to work out yet. Clutch pedal doesn't come all the way up so the clutch isn't engaged fully until I pull it up with my foot. Temp went to 185. I'll have to watch it to make sure it's good there. 2 1 Quote

casper50 Posted August 24, 2018 Author Report Posted August 24, 2018 We had my son, daughter and my daughter's friend from Japan here this week. Each got a ride in the coupe and all were amazed that it didn't have seatbelts. But, they all really enjoyed the rides. Quote

I am loving the hell out of that shade of green. What is it called? Not that I can use it. I live up a dirt road,so I can't have dark cars. Quote
casper50 Posted August 24, 2018 Author Report Posted August 24, 2018 I live up a dirt road also. 99 corvette polo green. Quote

I live up a dirt road on an island that floods. Besides the thick coat of dust in the summer just from cars passing by,I don't want to deal with mud thrown up under the car. Especially not since I have flexibility programs and can't bend over and sometimes can't bend my knees. Quote
casper50 Posted August 25, 2018 Author Report Posted August 25, 2018 mine stays in the garage when it's wet. I also only have to drive about 3/4 of a mile till pavement. I drive that 3/4 in 1st gear. lol Quote
