I'm having a great deal of trouble logging on to P15-D24.  Have I done something wrong?  Do I need a new computer?  I never realized how much I depend on the forum for information until I was unable to log on.

I've gone in in a back door sort of way.  Using my bookmark just isn't getting it.

GTK had problems with the site over the weekend. There was some info and instructions under feedback and announcements, but they seem to be gone.

When you get to the site, and are logged in, use that as a new bookmark, or short cut.. Delete your old one that has "pairserver" in the link.

As Tod noted the path to primary domain name, p15-d24.com, has changed. This should correct an ongoing issue with returning members not being automatically logged back into the site.  Once you get back in be sure to update your bookmarks and delete the old one.

Yeah, I finally figured this out after not being able to access the site for a day or so.  I contacted pair Networks because that is what the error message says to do, but they said to contact the website administrator.  Of course you can't do that when you can't get on the site!  I wonder if you can set up some kind of domain forwarding or broadcast an email to the users so they know how to get back in.

This would be a good idea if it can be done. I figured something was up since the website appeared to be down for several days. I contacted Don to find out what the deal was because I had no way to contact anyone else on the forum but him. Luckily he steered me in the right direction and all is well again. I just wonder how many others are wondering what is going on.

The domain didn't change so if you type in www.p15-d24.com you end up at the forum index like usual.

I will get an email out to the membership today about updating browser  bookmarks.

I had the same problem, but now I have a different one. I also got in by going to the WWW address and got here, but now I can't bookmark the site. Every time I try I try to bookmark it, I get sent to the Yahoo sign-in page (I'm with ATT/YAHOO). I sign in (even though I was already signed in) and it takes me to the Yahoo home page (not ATT). I tried a couple other pages to bookmark with the same results. So I know it's not the forums fault. I can save it to my "Favorites"

I had two types of "trouble".  One from this weekend that the site administrator resolved, (I received a message from the administrator explaining what happened and how to get around it) and one originating from the migration to "pairserver"  a while back that the resolution to the weekend's problem also resolved.  I could log on from my home computer, but my agency firewalled pairservers on its network, so I couldn't log on for the occasional daliance at work.  Once home, I tend to stay off the computer, so I've been "falling behind".

I had trouble too using my bookmark and even when I googled it I couldn't get on. I finally found a link through the domain name registry. Pure fluke.

Corrected bookmark for 40 plymouth sedan build thread: http://p15-d24.com/topic/30508-rust-free-40-plymouth-sedan/#entry304959

If you have bookmark links that are broken the quick fix is to search for the entry number in the forum search, this case 304959 or edit the old URL to the new format and save an updated bookmark.

For example, the old:  http://mopar.pairserver.com/p15d24ph_forum/index.php?/topic/30508-rust-free-40-plymouth-sedan/#entry304959  becomes

the new: http://p15-d24.com/topic/30508-rust-free-40-plymouth-sedan/#entry304959

(Red text is edited out and replaced by blue text in the URL address bar)  Then re-save your bookmark.

Yeah.........what they were saying.  Don Coatney was kind enough to give me an address that worked.....so am back in.

It did take me a bit of messing with my computer to get a new shortcut/bookmark on the main screen.  But that's just

because I forget how to do certain things since they don't occur very often.  All is now good.

I only found my way back onto the site after I stumbled upon the P15-D24 Facebook page quite by accident! Until now I didn't even know there was one!

FYI, On the forum index page (upper right) is the Facebook feed "Recent Facebook Activity"

Thanx. Hope I didn't sound like a whiner.

No problem and I'm looking for ways to leverage the Facebook connection.
