Living here in the frozen tundra, I really miss Blue Bell ice cream.  Good Minnesotans eat Kemps ice cream, and all the worse since I am friends with the Quality Manager there.

Guess that's not me then. We typically buy Cedar Crest from WI, Stone Ridge Creamery, or sometimes the quarts from Culvers

Do they still Have Bridgemans's in Minnesota?

We used to get Bridgeman's in Duluth, but maybe they were local only.

Obligatory van pic. this was my '84 dodge. It did not have fake fur.

I think you can still buy it at grocery stores but I believe most or all of the stand alone shops are gone. I know the one that was near me is long gone.

Customized vans are on the come back here in California.  I am currently restoring a '69 Dodge A108, a very mild custom.

The number of young people getting interested in old vans is growing.  A lot of "experienced" [i.e. "old farts"] people like me just like them.

Be prepared to see them showing up at car shows in your local area...

Sorry about this but to me that van represents all that was bad in the 70's.  Wow my gag reflex has kicked in.   lol

You may be right, but I know of a lot of people who think you are wrong. Vanners were a close knit group. We went to a truck-in in Richmond, Va. There were over 7600 vans there. From Florida all the way up the East Coast and the Midwest. Ran into a club from Pennsylvania on the way down, and dropped in with them. Went to another truck-in in Bowling Green, Ky (Beech Bend Park). There were over 8000 vans there.Don't see numbers like that now. Everyone had a good time with no problems. Games and competition between clubs during the day, and party with live bands at night. Van was an everyday driver (All year). Took a trip to Florida and it cost very little. Food in the ice box and a propane stove, we could pull into a roadside park for meals. At night, pull into a KOA (or similar campground) to sleep. Why pay $50 - $80 a night at a motel/hotel just to sleep. The club also worked with a local home for special needs kids. Took them to the zoo in the summer, and got a hall and had a Christmas party for them (with gifts from Santa). During the winter months when we couldn't go to truck-ins, different clubs would have a hall party and invite the other clubs. Went to quite a few parties in Michigan, Ohio, and Windsor, Canada. Wish I still had the van.
