Adrian41D-19 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 hi, i have an original P15 owners guide with the original shop manual, i find it in the trunk of my 41 dodge! i have too the original owners manual with the accessories book and all brochure and the salesman booklet for my 1941 dodge! the 1rst owner of my dodge was working in a dodge dealer at detroit! i'm the 4th owner Quote
Andydodge Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 When i bought my 1940 Dodge in 1971 it still had the owners manual and a workshop manual, it was complete down to the hubcaps as well as 2 mths rego.........of course being the tightwad that the Douglas's are my father beat the price down from $40 to $15.00.............but then it cost $20.00 to tow home........lol.........this is the only colour pic I have of it from back then......you'd think I could have shown the front of the car in the pic........lol.........andyd Quote
47PLYMOUTH HOODLUM Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Mine DOESN'T have an owner's manual! Any chance, someone got one for sale??? Message me with price and condition! Sorry, about taking over the thread. Had to ask..... Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Those owners manuals come up on ebay fairly regularly. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Yes if you dont care about a 60 year old copy ebay has reprints for under $20. I've been meaning to buy one just to actually keep in the glovebox. Leave my very nice original one at home Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Good ideee, Ed. I think the quality of most reprints is pretty decent nowadays. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 1, 2012 Author Report Posted August 1, 2012 I almost bought a reproduction at last swap meet them remembered the guy was the one and same that ripped someone I know off..so passed...I found this original copy online and entered the minimum bid using my sniper...got it for the snipe price..if I had lost..no big deal..approx 1/2 half price of a reproduction.. 47PLYMOUTH HOODLUM Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Good to know! I don't care about having the "original" over the reproduction manual. Under $20? Can't beat that!!! Quote
T120 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 I was lucky to find a Canadian 1946 owners manual for my Plymouth at a swap meet. The price was very reasonable and also less than a US reproduction manual. Not sure of the differences in the text other than the fluid capacities are in Imperial measure.A sample of the text outlining notes on winter driving is interesting, the information having been covered before on the forum..
