Has anyone used these guys before? I'm looking at their deluxe brake kit. I've read some reviews, but most of them aren't good, mostly customer service problems. I don't have much money to spend on my truck, so I'd like to only go with known reputable suppliers.

Thanks!

as has been mentioned here a couple times in the past..they are great one stop shopping for a number of basic rebuild components for your old car but you are paying preminum for that shopping experience..shopping about will net the parts at a greatly reduced price on the average and odds are they are the exact same parts, face it, only x many folks making these parts available to the retailer..

I would also ask some of your Canadian friends about customs etc on shipments to Canada..this is often a sticky wicket as they say.

George,

I bought Universal Joints from them a few years ago.

Tough to find with the Bat Wing Tabs on them. (1948 Chrysler Royal)

Good fast service - but, they are proud of their parts (pricewise).

They have knowledgable service people on the phone.

My trucks a '49 half ton. The deluxe kit listed as having a new master, shoes, hoses, return springs and wheel cylinders for I think $450 or so. I might have that not quite right, you might want to check them out yourself to see.

I usually try to throw the Kanter catalog into my bathroom trashcan before I read it. It upsets me to see stuff I paid $25 for listed at $100. In this case if it has all you say the deluxe kit has this could be an exception. The only thing that upsets me more is seeing people elected by the people of this great nation take it upon themselves to use their office as a profit center.

Now back to your problem: I bought a Master cylinder and all the slave cylinders for about $300 (maybe $350) from Roberts Motor parts.

Other People have had similar good results with Autozone.

If they have what you need http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com often has NOS Made in the USA surplus parts. Kind of like that old story you made have heard about from your uncle that somewhere in the middle of the dessert there are brand new 1941 Harley Davidson's packed in Cosmoline, only true.

Good luck and don't forget to take lots of pictures before you start taking things apart.

Hank :)
