Often models years are confusing. My Dodge is title as 49, but has the 48 body style. My friend's Plymouth is titled as a 49, but has the body style/tail lights as a 50 model. Quote

I was thinking that too but then I was thinking only the higher end 35s had the rings. Anyone confirm that? The windshield on a 36 is square at the bottom, and the 35 is round at the bottom like my 37s, and 38s. Often models years are confusing. My Dodge is title as 49, but has the 48 body style. The manufacturers were doing model years but the states calendar years. My Dads 50 plymouth is also titled as a 49. Quote

Robert Horne Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 This is what I am referring to on the 36 windshield. One can easily change many parts on the 35 to 36. My Uncle changed the front fenders on his 36 Plymouth with fenders from a 35 or 36 Dodge. The difference was the way the running boards attached to the fenders. Quote
John Reddie Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 The grille and hood is definitely a '36 but the windshield is different and appears to be fixed rather that one that can be opened like US built '36 Plymouths. Where it has the right hand drive and an export model, that could explain these differences. Also the rear mounted spare is interesting. My '36 rumble seat coupe had the spare located behind the passenger side seat back rest. Nice coupe. John R Quote

Also the rear window wound down, giving access for rumble seat passengers to the beer cooler behind the front seat is this an indicator ? Roger. Quote

If equipped with the optional passenger side wiper, it would be a separate vacuum wiper motor with separate control knob. Quote
